Vehicle was in motion when it left the road. I swerved to miss a dog. I had my seatbelt on during this accident however my head (top, right front of my head) hit the windshield glass and the glass broke/shattered. My hair was caught in the broken cracks of the glass on the windshield and my hair was pulled out of my head, I guess when the seatbelt pulled me back into position it managed to keep my hair lodged. I got small pieces of glass out of my scalp for a week. I had other injuries as well. Every single airbag of this car was deployed and my vehicle a total loss. I was only going around 45 mph. I am thankful to be here sharing this passage. I just have tried to figure out how I managed to hit the windshield while my seatbelt was on my body and the airbags deployed.
Right rear passenger (outboard) seat belt fails to engage. Will not latch.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph, the air bag warning light illuminated. In addition, the front passenger seat belt warning light illuminate when it was secured. The failures recurred constantly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Purchased the vehicle and drove it home on 9/15/14. When I put passenger in and they connected the seat belt, the light on the dash and chime began to notify the seat belt was not connected. Tested this for several days with different people. Brought vehicle dealership on 10/4/14, and they hooked up to computer and found code for malfunctioning seat belt in computer. Told me it would take a few days to get part. It has now been almost a month, and I am unable to put a passenger in my brand new vehicle due to the fact the seat belt is not functioning, and must be by law.
