Front Air Bag Problems of Jeep Cherokee

Driver's side seat frame broke. Seat wobbles back and forth. Obviously an unsafe situation being strapped into a seat that is not properly secured to vehicle. Will force of pushing brake pedal totally separate seat from vehicle? this is a major safety issue relative to passenger restraint (me) and braking or stopping of the vehicle(others). I have read where this is a common occurance on Jeeps of the same model and year as mine. Clearly, this is a manufacturing defect. I have never had a seat frame fail on any other vehicle that I have operated. This is not rust related. It is simply a failed vehicle weight reduction program that has blossomed into a full blown safety concern for both those in the vehicle and anyone else outside of the vehicle in its general proximity. Something needs to be done as vehicle owners will continue to operate these vehicles until the seat totally severs its compromised mounting and becomes totally detached from the vehicle. In the mean time, anyone in its path is at serious risk.

Car was in a chain reaction accident. I was hit from behind and pushed into the car in front of me. My car was a total lose as was the car I was pushed into. The air bags did not inflate.

My daughter hydroplaned and hit a very large rock ( about 3 feet in diameter) going approximately 30 miles an hour. Neither of the airbags deployed.

While driving 40 mph the vehicle was involved in a frontal collision yet neither air bag deployed.

Consumer was traveling at 30 mph and another vehicle hit consumer's vehicle on passenger's side. Upon impact, none of airbags deployed. Please provide any further information.

While traveling about 65mph on highway without prior warning turned the vehicle right in order to straighten vehicle. When turning back towards the vehicle caused vehicle to flip six times. Dual airbags didn't deploy, and passenger side seat belt broke.

Vehicle was going 30-35mph and was involved in a head on collison hitting side driver's door of other vehicle. Upon impact, neither driver's or passenger's air bag deployed, causing consumer's head and face to hit windshield. Dealer was notified. Vehicle was totaled. Please provide more information.

To avoid accident my son swerved & did a 180 & came to a stop & was hit by a Ford pickup head on. Jeep was totaled. Niether of the front air bags deployed.

Airbag severly damaged my right eye. I had seat belt on, seat was upright. No other injuries.

While driving 45-50 mph vehicle involved in front collision, neither airbag deployed. Chrysler is sending investigators. Vehicle most likely totalled. The air bag failure resulted in passengers injury.

While traveling45-50 mph hit slush on shoulder, slid into an ice embankment, proceeded into a ditch, and came to rest after hitting a stone wall. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Driver was only one in vehicle and was wearing seat belt.

While driving on the road another vehicle pulled out from the right hand side and hit consumer's vehicle on the right front bumper head-on. Upon impact, neither airbag deployed. Contacted dealer.

Consumer's daughter was traveling about 45 mph on the highway another vehicle was disabled on the right hand lane, consumer didn't see the vehicle and hit it. Consumer's knees buckled and face hit the steering wheel. Also, consumer's teeth marks were inside the steering column. Upon impact, frontal passenger's airbags didn't deploy.

Air bags didn't deploy during an accident.

Jeep was struck on passengers side, Jeep struck another truck head-on, hitting more of the front passengers side, causing hood damage/broken windshield, and drivers gears to come out. Driver broke sternum in two places due to safety belt not working and airbags not coming out. Jeep was totalled out. ( dot number: tire size: p225/70r16 ).

While driving at 35 mph, the vehicle experienced several frontal impacts, and the defective driver and passenger airbag system is inoperative which did not protect the occupant in this accident. Manufacturer states the vehcile was involved in undercarriage accident.

Owner hit another car face on and the air bag didn't deploy.

First instance, while driving slipped on ice, hit head first into guard rail, driver's air failed to deploy, driver sustained 3 crushed discs in back/broken finger. In second instance, while driving at 57 mph, violent deployment of passenger's air bag, distracted driver, causing a major collision. Passenger suffered a broken neck and died.

The air bag unit light stays on. Tt.

Consumer was driving when apply the brake it pulls to the right causing accident the air bag didn't deploy and seat belt didn't restrain head hit windshield .

Driver's airbag deployed after applying brakes suddenly. Driver sustained injuries.

No deployment of airbag in accident, resulting in a fatality.

Consumer is not able to obtain recall repair (00v-105) due to lack of parts and information regarding repair.

Vehicle was involved in a rollover at 60mph, and neither dirver's nor passenger's airbags deployed. Dealer has vehicle currently.

Air bag deployed; gases choked consumer and caused him to pass out. Dealer has been notified. Please provide additional information.

Consumer is not able to obtain recall repair (00v-105) for the air bag module, no parts available.
