Warning Light On Problems of Jeep Cherokee

I was driving and the Jeep died on the road. This happened 2 days (April 4 & 5th, 2021) in a row. No warning lights. I had to remove the key and open the door to reset the system and then it finally restarted. Tires plus reports no codes when diagnosing. Waiting to hear from Jeep.

Several dashboard warning lights lit up at the same time (with alarms sounding continuously): check engine; parking brake; service airbag system, traction control off, seatbelt warning gear indicator lights were all on at the same time: p, r, n. D and the manual shift +/- indicator (all lit red) the transmission would not shift (out of what felt like 3rd gear) while driving down the freeway. A few times, the transmission would not shift out of neutral, and I could not get the car to move (after coming to a stop) on the off ramp and on the side streets. Key fob would not lock or unlock the doors or set the alarm.

2014 Jeep Cherokee. Consumer writes in regard to service airbag system warning light coming on; caused by underseats jammed wires. The consumer stated the vehicle needed a new wiring harness. The dealer stated the vehicle was out of warranty. The vehicle was not repaired.

Takata recall, air bag light came on stating to service air bag. Upon taking the vehicle into the dealer ship I was informed that my entire air bag system has to be taken out and rewired due to this warning light coming on or I wont have any air bags.

Air bag warning light turned on haven't been able to fix yet. Passengers seat bearing on track broken. Front end noise when turning has been in dealer multiple times and haven't been able to fix sounds like rubbing on something crinkling sound.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bags warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to transitowne Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram (7408 transit rd, williamsville, NY 14221) where the mechanic repaired the electrical side pilar molding, and side curtain air bags however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, while making turns. A chime noise will occur and the oil warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that while driving the chime noise occurred, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact restarted the vehicle while in traffic and was able to drived normal. The contact stated that the failure would occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to south county Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram dealer, located at 7127 s lindbergh blvd, st louis, mo 63125, (314) 487-1010, where it was diagnosed but could not find a failure code and the contact was informed the oil level was three quart low. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer every eight hundred miles. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000. Aw.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph, the air bag warning light illuminated. In addition, the front passenger seat belt warning light illuminate when it was secured. The failures recurred constantly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,585. Jo.

Tl- the contact owns a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the air bag warning light stayed lit for an extended period of time and the instrument cluster failed to work due to the gauges not functioning properly. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 00v105000 (air bags). The contact was unable to pass a vehicle inspection due to the failure. The vehicle was to be taken to a dealer for further inspection and diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000. Dyd.

Backed out of driveway then warning light/symbol and tone came on that the 4 wheel drive system was unavailable and service required, service airbag warning came on as well as service parking brake, limped back into driveway barely. Turned vehicle off restarted still getting warnings and tried to move vehicle motor revved but vehicle didn't move forward or reverse. Got another warning to put vehicle into park then select gear. Currently waiting for tow truck. Jeep won't move in drive or reverse now. Suspect transmission issue.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,500. The VIN was not available.

Air bag warning light is staying on all the time. I'm concerned the airbags will go off unessessarily or will not work when they are needed to. This warning light has been on for a long time. I'm just not sure of the date I first noticed it.

Got in the vehicle to go to an appointment, and the airbag warning light was illuminated. Also, I no longer have cruise control, or the use of the horn. I was told by Chrysler that there may be a future recall on the clockspring mechanism that controls these items. I was also told that while it is highly unlikely, there is a chance that the airbag could inadvertantly be deployed for no reason. I am still waiting for a recall to begin. The part to repair the car is over $250. I am still driving the car as I am on social security and can't afford the parts. My hope is that I don't have a takata airbag on top of it all!!.

Airbag & seatbelt warning lights will not go out. Have complained to Chrysler-Jeep, but they do not want to include problem solution under recall. . . .

Airbag warning light and chime goes off constantly.

Air bag warning light remains illuminated, indicating a malfunction which could cause air bags to inadvertently deploy, vehicle not included in recall 00v105000 due to VIN.

Speedometer intermittently works along with the airbag warning light coming on. Deaelr has seen and repaired vehicle.
