Power steering failed due to bracket holding the hydraulic pump assembly failing. Bracket broke and caused belt and belt to be thrown into radiator. This caused steering to lock-up and car coming to stop in a flower bed at apartment complex. This could have resulted in severe injury, property damage or a fatality. Bracket and mounting bolt failed for no aparent reason. I had the car towed to local repair mechanic who ordered the parts and repaired the damage at a very reasonable cost. Mechanic told me that when he ordered the part from Chrysler he was told that this was something they had been replacing at fairly high rate. This is not a part that should fail. Something is wrong here. Please investigate.
I was traveling 65mph, and feel asleep at the wheel. I woke up in the ditch and tried to get back on the road because an approach was coming. I was almost able to do that, but then the vehicle started to roll. It rolled two and a half times.

Steering dampener leaking causing front end to shake, dealer replaced dampener but it didn't correct the problem so the gear box was replaced.
The car wanders, and loses the ability to steer. The problem is intermittent, and has been for 5000 miles. The vehicle has been back to the dealership 3 times, and repaired twice. It was in an accident, due to the problem, and was inspected, but they found no problems at the time. It's intermittent, they know that but don't care. The dealership/manufacturer refused to work on the car, and the problem still exists to this day. There is an investigation of this issue in similar model cars now from the same time period, though it was apparently not on the books when the accident occurred, as my insurance company looked for similar reports but found none.
