While in motion both on highway (~70mph) or neighborhood driving (~25mph), dash board lights flash, speedometers wind and the error message 4wd system temporarily unavailable comes on screen with traction warning light and red indicator dot light. Resin volume also diminished. This will not reset until car is turned off for ~5 minutes. This has happened both with short drives of 15 minutes and during longer drives of 1hour.

I was driving and was trying to accelerate was going about 42 and my car dropped the gear and my car immediately slowed down to about 38mph and the car behind me almost slammed into the rear of the car. This has happened on multiple occasions. I have contacted my dealership on many occasions and they tell me nothing is wrong and I bring it to other mechanics and they tell me they have issues all the time with this make and model of this vehicle. I drive with a small child in the car and I feel completely unsafe. I am so furious with my Jeep dealership located on route 88 in brick new jersey. No one wants to take accountability. My second issue is with the lug screws in the tires they keep becoming swollen after replacing them constantly I was told yet again they need to be replaced and they are not cheap to keep replacing. And last my air bags censor has been replaced at least twice the driver airbag censor keeps popping up on my dashboard.

When road is wet, vehicle randomly fish tails on city streets and/or does complete 360 degree spin on the interstate. Tires are good. Rear differential was leaking. Suspected differential failed. We got the leak fixed but noise persisted. Jeep service department is now replacing entire differential. Warranty expired at 100,000 miles. Vehicle around 120,000 miles now. Suspect a defect in differential, based on other internet searches. Also had similar issue about a year ago, and thought that balding tires were to blame. Other symptoms include rubbing sound when turning slowly and sharply, such as backing out of driveway or turning sharply into a parking spot.

When excelling on the highway there is a vibration felt in the steering, suspension and or drive-line starting at 60 mph. The vibration increases with severity to the point of where it feels unsafe to increase above 75 to 80 mph. Generally below 60 mph or costing at 60-70 mph down grade the vibration seem to be regular road sensation.
Twice in 2 years my lug nuts have come loose. Today 4 out of 5 were missing. This could kill people. I'm looking for a recall notice for this problem.

I was traveling on route 18 a 55 mph road yesterday and hit some ice or center rumble strips in the road. My car went into a large ditch. The front end of my car is severely damaged. The driver side airbag did not deploy. I find this very disturbing. Definitely a safety issue!!.
I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee latitude it has over 100,000 miles over it I just recently had the transmission service which was no more than fluid change. Recently while driving to a restaurant to pick up some dinner the parking brake service light came on yellow indication came on I was just driving normal weather no snow no rain sitting in line at the drive-thru. I pulled into a parking spot to place it in park and to see if I could release the parking brake as the parking brake indicator light was on. Once I place the vehicle in park the emergency parking brake engaged the brake light came on and it will not release. Had the vehicle towed to my house which is less than a mile away call the dealership and they just kept asking for codes there was no codes to be given. I have tried many solutions including of disconnecting the battery pulling the fuses I have pulled the brake module from the back now that there was a little moisture in there. I tried it out and ride it let it sit a day or two. The brake will not release. Local dealership wants me to bring it in for an expensive diagnosis. After jacking up the vehicle myself I was able to determine that it was only the driver side that will not release. I was also told by the dealer that if I just rocked it between reverse and drive that it would release. It did release once but I literally had to drive with the parking brake on until it did let's not do that again. I replace the module with one I found online from another Jeep Cherokee and it did not correct the problem. Local dealerships have no idea have never heard of it was no help whatsoever.
Multiple times a week the tire sensors "go out" while driving and I have to take it back to have them reset. . Approximately 20 miles down the highway after reset, they go offline again.
When I'm on the highway going 65-75 and there's dips in the road my steering wheel and front tires shake out of control and I have to press the brake pedal to make it stop.
Tire pressure gauge.
Passenger side front wheel locked up and had to have a new wheel bearing was not traveling at the same speed as the other wheels was stranded and had to have car towed from st. Louis into springfield illinois did they make you pay for the tow Jeep did not refund.
Continental tires model 225 /60r 18 side wall collapsed. Car has only 5000 miles . Numerous same complaints on consumer affairs . Continental tires are a hazard and should be recalled, the car was in motion going about 35 mph on a residential street.
We were driving from tallahassee to cape canaveral florida. As we neared gainesville the car handling became erratic. At the time we were on the interstate and traveling at normal highway speed in heavy traffic. We stopped in gainesville at a cooper dealer and they said a front tire tread had shifted. A new tire was purchased. We continued our trip and after about 1 hour the same handling problem occurred just as we got on the florida turnpike. . The car was taken to a cooper dealer in lee florida and we were advised that the other front tire had failed due to the same reason. Tires had about 13,00 miles on them. Another new tire was purchased. When we returned home I contacted cooper. Their first response was to see a dealer. I then received an email stating that they would have the tires picked up and sent to their factory. Another email was then received saying to see a dealer. Four cooper ultra touring tires were purchased 04/27/2018. The two front tires failed on August 29/2019. Mileage at purchase was just over 28,000 and failed at 41,000. Tires had been rotated twice. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
The lug bolts have a thin chrome cover. These lug bolts seem to swell as moisture enters over time. They also become damaged as maintenance such as tire rotation is performed. They become impossible to remove with the tools supplied by the manufacturer in the event of a flat tire, leaving the vehicle stranded. I understand this is a well known problem throughout the fiat Chrysler group line.

2017 Jeep Cherokee with only 37000 miles the intire front end fell out while driving causing an accident. Wheel, intire hub assembly, axle, and strut. While thankfully traveling low speeds in the city.
Takata recall I had witnessed my air bags not deploy, when I was just involved in a car accident. Because I had unintended acceleration which caused me to not be able to stop and we were hit on the side and our side air bags did not deploy on our right side.
When towing vehicle 4 wheels down behind my motorhome at times vehicle has a sever wobble. It is both when taking a corner or straight. Can not stop wobble unless I come to a complete stop. Very scary.

Since January of 2018 I have been having constant problems internally with my Jeep. I got the Jeep in April of 2017 with 14 miles total on it. The Jeep dealership never rotated my tires when they changed my oil and told me they did rotate my tires resulting in me having to get a brand new set of 4 tires in 2018 because all the tires went completely bald (too dangerous to drive on). My first of 4 cylinders went out in January 2019 that was fixed on warranty. Second cylinder of 4 that was a different cylinder than the first went out February of 2019 the Jeep dealership gave me a good year program and made me pay a fee and they fixed all 4 cylinders. Currently in November 2019 my engine light is coming on and I do not know what the issue is now. I have talked to several Jeep dealerships that has not seen this issue on other Jeeps so I really believe I got sold a poorly manufactured Jeep.
Rear brakes were vibrating upon firm braking pressure at speed of 55-60. Dealer replaced rear rotors upon verifying vibration. "new rear rotors" had same vibrations and are now rusting at areas other then brake surfaces. Please see photos.

This is a safety issue. The 2 part Chrysler wheel lug nuts rust and cannot be removed when you have a flat tire!!!! help.
While vehicle in motion, charging system/battery warning light illuminated. Within 5 minutes of this incident, tire pressure/run flat warning indicator illuminated. Recommended pressure of 36 psi incorrect. Received 2 recall notifications on app and email. Then both recalls disappeared.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the lug nuts in the wheels swell while driving. If the tires needed to be replaced then the wheels could not be changed while out on the road. The manufacturer stated that they had been redesigning the lug nuts from one year to the next and there was currently no recall on the issue. The failure mileage was 57,000. Tf.
First we weren't able to take vehicle home the day we signed the finance papers, 8/19/18, due to battery being dead. We then picked up car on 8/20/18. Kept vehicle till around the 23rd. The Jeep Cherokee turned off in traffic and went into battery protection mode. We had to put car in park and restart. We were almost rear-ended. I then called dealership to talk to salesman and he was busy so I asked for manager who then told me that the salesman would call me back. When I told salesman about the incident I was told to drive with start-stop function off and to wait till next day to see if it did it again. The vehicle didn't start in the morning and then tried second time and it turned on in battery protection mode so I took it in to dealership and was given a loaner. We then picked up Cherokee on or around 8/31/18. We were told the battery was recharged. The Cherokee then started to turn off again in traffic so I took it back on 9/5/18. I was given another loaner. I was then told to pick up Cherokee on 9/18/18. I was told that they didn't find anything and couldn't recreate the incident. Ever since we received the Cherokee back on the 18th we keep the start-stop function off. Now the tire pressure sensors keep coming on and off and the gas is going at a faster rate then before. Not sure if sensors are working correctly. Took car back to dealership on Sunday 10/14/18 and was told to call service the next day because they had no loaners. Today 10/21/18 vehicle turned off while driving out of parking space. Car restarted but do not trust driving this vehicle with my family inside. There has been several times the vehicle didn't accelerate while stepping on the gas pedal.
I had a flat tire. After mounting the spare tire and torqueing the lug bolts, (yes they are bolts not nuts) I found that the wheel was still loose. I determined that this was caused by the lug bolts being too long for the steel spare wheel which is not the same thickness as the aluminum factory wheels.
I recently had a tire blow out while traveling a short distance. The tire had only 8000 miles on it, so I question a firestone dealer in n. Smithfield, r. I. Whether the tire had a defect and was told (common reply of deniability) a pot hole caused the tire to blow. I pointed out that the damage was done on the inside wall not the outside wall and I hadn't hit any potholes driving to my daughter's house. I even asked him to come check the route I took and could see for himself the condition of the road I traveled on (he refused to do so) it is not normal for a t ire to explode with such low mileage on it. There was no damage to the rim or wheel that could of affected the life of the tire but upon inspection no damage was found. It is so easy to blame potholes for a tire that may have had a defect when it was made especially when the tire has a warrantee of 72 months from the date of purchase. I bought t he vehicle in 2017 with said tires attached.
