1 Brake Light problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 04/27/2019

When it rains my control panel goes haywire and I've lost function of a brake light. The truck is stuck in 4th gear and sounds like the frame is going to rip out every time it jumps. Losing power controls ie windows and things of that nature. I have 5 children, youngest being 8months. I'm a retired army disabled cavalry scout veteran. I don't care about my personal info. I can't get shit done cause some potato head sold me a lemon. I'm tired of getting treated like shit after the shit I've endured for americans that thrive off getting over on people. I'm done this is bullshit!.

2 Brake Light problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 04/29/2015

While driving home from work I noticed my truck was slowing down without me applying the brakes and once I did apply the brakes I was informed I had only one brake light working. At that time I immediately went to a part store to have the fuses check and I purchased more bulbs and found out that was not the problem. The service department informed me that this was electrical problem not even the new bulbs worked and the fuses were good as well. I purchased this vehicle in October 2014 from drive time of columbus, GA and was not informed of the recall. The carfax associated with this vehicle did not mention any defects as a matter of fact the carfax listed this vehicle as almost perfect. I have contact Chrysler regarding this matter and they too let me know this problem was part of the recall but they are not able to correct the problem because they do not have the parts and it is may 2015. Now I am driving a truck that is really not safe. I spoke with the dealership where I purchase the truck without any resolution. They are only concerned with the payments. , can something be done? can this dealership be made to give me my money back I have spent on this truck or give me another vehicle which I afraid to trust anyone at this point. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

3 Brake Light problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 06/05/2011

It was a rainy day. I pulled my car in to the garage and shut off the engine. Pulled out the key and entered my house. The garage is connected to my home. I came back to the garage some time later to find the engine was still on. I ran to the drivers seat to see no key in the ignition and verified the remote engine feature wasn't engaged, it is designed to turnoff after the car door is open for a short time. The engine wouldn't shut off. I brought it to my husband, who drove it a bit and could not get the engine off. Eventually it self corrected. A truly dangerous issue since this car is parked in my home. We brought it to the dealer about 4 times, and while the engine hasn't done that again, various parts of the car turn on spontaneously. A single head light, a single brake light, all the lights. It seems the electrical system no longer has full control of the vehicle and that is dangerous. I believe my car is just one of many 2007 Jeeps that are having enormous electrical problems, my case just illustrates how dangerous this could be. A car engine running spontaneously is unacceptable and it is clear this is just a symptom of a common problem to all these Jeeps.
