I bought my Jeep brand new with zero miles in 2018 and have been having problems with my back up camera since then. My back up camera for my Jeep randomly and continuously goes black. This can last a day or up to a week I am without a back up camera. Jeep has replaced the radio twice and have replace the camera itself once. I've taken my car to get service for back up camera to Jeep multiple times. The last time I was at Jeep they replaced my radio and it hasn't been a month yet and my back up camera is not working the screen is black. Today is Monday, may 3 and I have been without a back up camera since Friday April 30th. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have video proof every time the backup camera goes out but I've attached a picture of the black screen.

The touch screen radio is switching radio stations by itself. When you touch the station on the screen it goes back to another station.

While driving no sensors came on and all of a sudden while driving down the road the car rpm gage dropped to zero and the car wouldn't run anymore. Stuck in the middle of the road I could not get the car to crank in order to move it. Lights, radio, heat all still functioned?.

I bought my car in 2018 brand new with less than 10 miles. In the first few months, it required a brand new radio system and rear camera replacement. In some months following that, I have had my car stop on me while driving, approximately 4-5 times with only excuses as to why the car would unsafely do this. First time was an update that needed to be done. Second time was the keyfob battery but accused it of being lack of oil changes (I don't need to go to the dealership for oil changes). Next, was no explanation at all. Last was yesterday when it died twice in one day in the middle of the road. They called to let me know that it probably is because my oil is 3/4 way depleted even though I had an oil change done less than 3k miles ago. Their suggestion is that I return every 500 miles so they can top me off if the oil seems to be an issue. These are thankfully in less busy streets mostly driving straight but once while turning. Once included an error code that I was told was an electrical system error but it didnt register. I have pictures and videos on my phone from the incidents. I have also written to the ceo of Jeep, attorney general and will be contacting an attorney from an article I found on this issue from April of 2019. My photos and videos will not send and upload.

The system that automatically turns off the car at stops works intermittently. Mostly does not work. My display for the radio and apps and so forth does not work at times and goes all black. I had it taken in and they said there was a battery that supplies power and they replaced it. It has only been a few weeks later and it is doing the same thing again. I told the service center it was not fixed and have still not heard back from them. They say this is a common issue with it. When the screen goes black I cannot make any adjustments to radio, maps, air for heat and cool and the back up camera is unavailable. Is this a common issue and if so why? is there a fix for this?.
Leaks water through dome light while driving. Water pools in the dome light and after heavy rains I find 2 inch puddles of water on my passenger side floor. This is not only a fire hazard as it's coming through an electric port dripping on my radio but also just a hazard when driving and surprised with water pouring out of the light. Has been consistently getting worse for years now, started with the occasional drip.

Consumer bought car in August 2018 (memorial weekend). Upon obtaining the car, consumer noticed that car appeared to attempt to stall when break; however, the engine would kick back in and not stall. Last week (end of November 2018) consumer was driving the car and stopped at an individuals home to pick them up when the car completely shut off with the stop/start system warning light came on. Consumer turned off vehicle and restarted the car; light went off and car ran as normal. Consumer was driving the car today 12/5/2018 when stopped at a red light the car stalled and restarted, putting it into a "power saving mode" where the radio did not work and parking break light came on along with transmission light, and start/ stop light. Upon getting the car to the destination (half a mile) the engine light illuminated. Consumer turned off car and attempted to turn it back on. Car instruments turned on; however, would was observed clicking and would not turn over. The transmission light is still on and the start/stop is illuminated. I have read many of the "complaints" for this vehicle and they are consistent with the same things I have been experiencing.
Radio has white lines going down and makes it impossible to see the screen. This is a big issue because it controls lighting of the vehicle climate and most important the rear back camera for when backing up. More than 3 months since I took it for warranty and still no answer from Jeep.
1 unable to turn the radio volume up or down. Turned car off and on. Would not turn off accessory mode. Message stating car was on. Picture to be provided. Turned on and off multiple times. Problem was corrected next time I started it. 2 while driving accessory deactivated. Would not turn on. Problem corrected itself hours after leaving it parked. Picture of error message to be provided. 3 my Jeep was unable to stop at a yellow light. Stopped in middle of interscetion, almost a crash. Rainy weather.
The uconnect 8. 4 radio/head unit will display weather alert popups while driving, resulting in distraction due to both the audio and visual alert and requiring physical interaction with the touch screen device. There is no way to disable the alerts, even after unsubscribing from the "feature. " just as scrolling and settings menus are disabled while in motion for safety, there should be no popups and required interaction while in motion. Attached photo is from last summer, but issue is ongoing anytime any national weather service alert is active within a ~400 mile radius.
I just got gas and was about to pull into traffic when out of the blue my engine just stopped running. The radio and lights were still working but when I put my foot on the gas pedal I never moved. I had to restart the engine just to get going again. There was not even any warning lights on the dashboard and still aren't.

Power rear window intermittently would not raise after being lowered. Following a trip to my son't violin practice. After raising using the rear window power up, it raised and then worked fine. A few months later, out of the blue one morning the Jeep would not start. It was parked overnight in our driveway. Called roadside service and they attempted to jump it off with a jump box and it would still not start. Had a friend stop by and assist with jumper cables and after three attempts it started. Advance auto checked the battery/starter/alternator and all tested fine. Taken to dealer and totally integrated power modeule required changing and was not covered by either warranty or extended warranty I purchased when origionally bought. That was two weeks ago. Two days ago, out of the blue the horn honked. Then tonight, after being parked again overnight, I attempted to start my Jeep and upon turning the key in the ignition only the dash lights and radio came on x2. On the third attempt the vehicle started. First occurance was 7/26/2017 second 8/8/2017 following two days in the shop and a changed tipm.

When it rains and the vehicle is stationary there is no obvious sign of a leak however when driving after the rain a steady stream of water comes out of the map light. It flows on to the radio and heater controls. I am very good about keeping a paper towel handy to absorb as much as possible. Unfortunately I now have an extremely wet carpet that is molding. Jeep states that I should clean the drains for the sunroof, which I do quite often. They also state that the vehicle is not under warranty and they can not offer a fix with out charging me. I have had this vehicle for just over a year and I purchased it from a Jeep dealer.

The car is making a sound so loud that to talk you have to talk very loud and the radio to hear have turn it up loud. We thought it was in the tire and we bought new tires and it is still making that sound. The car dealer could not find anything wrong. So I am asking you about this problem. It only happens when driving.
The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Compass 4x4. When the vehicle was started, the air bag warning indicator was continuously illuminated. The failure recurred each time the vehicle was started. While driving at various speeds, the contact began to hear static coming from the radio that caused the radio to power off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the failure was unable to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
