Electrical Failure problems of the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Three problems related to electrical failure have been reported for the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Electrical Failure problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2008

The contact owns a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle's owners manual was missing information regarding the fuse diagram, the location, and labeling of the fuses. The current and failure mileages were 86,000. The consumer stated the electrical sensors failed. Updated 09/15/09.

2 Electrical Failure problem

Consumer complained about electrical system failure. This failure caused the turn signal to flash on the dashboard, but not on the rear. Also, brake lights worked intermittently. Although vehicle was serviced several times, the problem was not resolved.

3 Electrical Failure problem

Electrical system failure has caused the headlights, power windows & the power locks to fail.
