Fuses And Circuit Breaker problems of the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Two problems related to fuses and circuit breaker have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2002

The vehicle exhibits a sag/hesitation following a partial cool down restart, possibly an oxygen sensor problem. While making hard left turns at slow speeds (such as a u-turn), the airbag warning light illuminates and a audible chime is activated. The right side brake light assembly is burnt (internally) due to some kind of electrical overheating. The vehicle shifts hard, misses shifts, shifts repeatedly at constant speed and on a level grade. The rear differantial "bumps" very hard within 3-20 seconds of coming to a complete stop. An immovable "fog" has developed on the lenses of the composite headlight assemblies.

2 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2001

Dead battery from overnight flickering of lights. Difficulty with lowering/raising right front passenger window, appears to have no power. Left headlamp appears to be burned out, when ride over bump it goes on. Lights/headlights on dashboard flicker on/off while car is in garage parked. When driving and lights flicker on/off, it appears to get a surge of power and car surges forward. Have taken to dealer and they cannot find anything wrong with it.
