Passenger side only blows cold air. Re-circulating feature doesn't work. This is on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland with dual climate controls. The blend door and recirc door is broken and I have heard of several cases of this happening to other owners. This affects all 1999-2004 cherokees with dual climate control and the deal gives estimates of 900-2500 to fix.
I only gwt heat on the drivers side and cold air on the passenger's side of my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Their is an on going problem with 1998-2004 Jeeps where the ac blend door breaks.
Defroster not working properly.
Blend doors inoperable. Resistor allows too much torque for the plastic blend door to handle. (as for the property damage yes or no question I checked yes because my Jeep is my property and it is damaged!) also I can't remember exactly what date I purchased this Grand Cherokee? but, it was definitely March 2005.
Visibility:defroster/defoger heating system. My wife and I purchased our 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in August of 06 with 38,000 miles on the odometer. While she had it in for a routine oil change she told the tech about noises in the dash and he responded with it supposed to sound like that. Now 12,000 miles later the Jeep has no heat at all and we need to pay $1,000 to fix something that is not covered under the extended warranty. We purchased this vehicle with the intension on keeping it for more than 100,000 miles. If we keep the Jeep this long it looks like we'll have to have this fixed again if it breaks every 50,000 miles. I didn't see heat as an option on the window sticker.
Visibility- heat/cool erractic operation of auto temp control 2004 Grand Cherokee overland- in cold weather produces cold air on its own- in warm weather produces hot air on one side of vehicle and cold air on other side at identical temp settings.
The heater in my vehicle is no longer providing heat in order to keep windshield frost free causing poor visibility.
When turn heat on cold air will come out. You will have to turn the head on and off so you can get heat to work. You should not have to do this to a 30. 000 $ car!!!! this need to be fixed. . . . This has happened a lots!!!!.
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee hvac system blend doors have failed, so that automatic climate control system fails to control temperature and blows very hot or cold air at inappropriate times. Impossible to maintain constant temperature in the vehicle.
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - hvac system exhibits loud creaking/groaning sounds from dash. Also system exhibits widely fluctuating temperatures. The system is the electronic dual-zone climate control. Dealers explanation "everything is fine, they all do that. ".
Heater blend door made noise from the day vehicle was purchased. It also failed several times during normal operation over the last 4 years. No longer making noise but now only passenger side heater/ac vent works. Defrosting windows ineffective with defective blend door.
