On at least 4 occasions, my Jeep has randomly lost power such that the power steering, accelerator, and brake systems stopped working. Each time it has occurred, it was at a low rate of speed, so the danger of a catastrophic accident was low; however, one time it occurred when I was on a hill and I couldn't stop the Jeep from rolling down hill. I had to coast through a stop sign and only came to rest because of a curb on the opposite side of the street. Luckily, no cars were coming in the opposite direction.
I was driving on the highway and the truck just shut off completely for no reason then restarted its self this happen 3 times that day and has happen 2 more times after that.

As I pulled into my apartment complex around 5:30am on 8/08/2013, I noticed a loud "thud" sound and my Jeep became stalled in the driveway. I pressed gently on the gas pedal to move my vehicle out of oncoming traffic, but the Jeep wouldn't move and then finally jolted into drive without me pressing on the gas pedal. I was able to coast to a parking spot. The service 4-wheel drive indicator light came on the dash before I shut the ignition off. The vehicle has been serviced appropriately and efficiently over the past 2 years since I purchased it. I called shore tire on 8/9/2013 to set up an appointment for a mechanic to look at my vehicle. I was able to drive the Jeep at 10mph a mile down the road on 8/12/2013 to the service shop. I was informed the parking break had dislodged itself from the shaft, dismantling the rear backing plate system, left rear abs sensor, left rear axle/hub and damaged the rear rotors. I had to pay $1,320. 30 for parts and labor.

I was driving to the work, a semi truck was front of my Jeep,it was a stop sign and the semi truck was stopping and I was slowing down to stop, but my Jeep didn't slow down. Even I was pressing the brake, didn't stop on time and I crashed to the semi truck. Luckily, didn't give any damage to the semi truck , but my Jeep end up total lost. After I got this recall from mail, I realize , the accident wasn't my fault, the Jeep had a factory defected. I need some one to answer this for me. Because I lost my Jeep and got another car to go to work. Till now I was asking myself how I couldn't stop the Jeep and it was only 15 to 20 miles an hours. Now I know it wasn't me.

Brake pedal travels too far car. The vehicle doesn't make a sound.
Car is pulling to right when brakes depressed. Steering wheel shudders when brakes depressed. Started at <15k miles. Car now at 18. 3k and problem has become severe. Going to shop for brake check- possibly need new brakes- with <20k miles! this after months of hassle & towing bills to finally repair the torque converter recall that was supposedly fixed before the first towing incident. Have lost complete faith in car & if wasn't in lease would sell it immediately. Will never lease/purchase Jeep again.
