Transmission Gear Slipping problems of the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2020

Have has to replace water pump 4 times for leaking. Replaced 2 power steering pumps. Transmission and slipped and chirped since I bought it. Noticed metal shaving in my oil.

2 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 01/06/2014

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times and the failure was progressing. The contact also stated that the transmission gears were slipping and difficult to change over as the failure continued to occur. The dealer was notified for several months and they were not able to diagnose the vehicle. The contact was included in NHTSA campaign id number: 14v438000 (electrical system) and stated that the parts and the remedy were not available. The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts and the remedy would become available. The manufacturer was also contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. The contact was continuing to experience the failure with the vehicle stalling and the gears slipping. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. Dyd.
