1 Engine problem

Failure Date: 03/05/2011

Whilst driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee (equipped with the Mercedes Benz common rail diesel (crd) 3. 0 l engine) on I-410 at highway speed, the engine suddenly stopped, without any warning. This also made the power brakes and power steering inoperative. Today, the dealer tells me that this is caused by a faulty crankshaft position indicator sensor and is a fairly common occurance. I should think this is a design flaw and should be corrected by the mfg.

2 Engine problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

Bought Grand Cherokee brand new, started leaking from two areas immediately. First service department told me there were no leaks, after numerous complaints fixed one leak, still refuses to acknowledge second leak.
