I was driving and heard what almost sounded like an explosion. I pulled off the road and realized my sunroof had exploded. The sunroof had no prior chips or cracks. As seen in the photos, the glass had exploded by the size of the hole. Thankfully, I had the canvas closed, at the time and glass did not fall in. However, I am concerned for the safety of other Jeep owners and other vehicles on the road.
I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland. There are currently 42,000 miles on this vehicle. I went to a shop and tried to have the rack and pinion replaced. And I was told the all the four axle spindles are rusted so badly. The professional in the shop had to spend lot more hour to figure out an other way to remove the parts without touching the spindles. I was told that it was impossible to unscrew the axle nut out from the spindles because of the rusts. This problem is still unresolved. And it would prevent the process of future parts removal. I strongly believe Chrysler should issue a recall or a free repair for this issue. Thank you!.
On Saturday morning after pulling out of a parking space my car stalled and lost power steering. I put it in park and restarted engine it was fine. Went to other store, parked it and the same thing happened once I returned to leave. When I got home I shut off the ignition switch and after app. 8 seconds I heard a sound coming from behind the fuse box area or at least behind that area . Sounded electrical "vooop, vooop" I also noticed when going up an incline around 30 mph the car had a huge delay, I had to push the gas pedal practically to the floor, and than it kicked in and zoomed off. I felt like I was loosing power and than the car took off on its own! crazy feeling!!! I feel as though the computer that is in charge of the car is out of wrack and the car has become inconsistent to drive because of what could occur next. I also lost brakes this winter while driving due to brake booster failure which eventually became a recall. I was scared then and I'm afraid this incident may result in something bigger and worse. :(.
In June 2012 I began having issues with my vehicle giving a hard start and stalling. I reported it several times and carried it to the dealership many times. They installed a device to track what is causing the stall issue. They said the device did not read anything but the stalling was not happening as often after this device was removed. In October 2014, my vehicle began giving the hard start again every single time I start my vehicle and the stalling became very frequent. On November 4,2014 my vehicle stalled out and did not want to start resulting in me having to rent a car. I am really frustrated with this situation because all it is goin to do is affect another part on my vehicle. I had this for 4 years and I've had so much problems and had to change so many parts. . . This Jeep is the lemon of the bunch.
