For the last couple of months I have experienced hard starting. I believe this is due to the recalled fuel relay. The recall is from Nov 14,2019 manufacturer recall numberv62 NHTSA recall number19v-813. Last night the vehicle just stopped after starting it while sitting at a gas station. It appears that the problem is getting worst. Up until now, this has always been a reliable vehicle. Which is really needed because of the shift I work, (2nd) , and the distance of my commute. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks hilton bradley 216-533-6732 chuckb58@gmail. Com.
I bought this car from liccardi Chrysler Dodge ram in green brook, NJ in February, 2020. Immediately, the car engine stalled, turning off power steering, power brakes, and gas. I had the car towed to liccardi, they claimed it was the oil pan leak and I spent $2,000 on repairs. Since then, the car has stalled 4 times, coming to a stop. Still, liccardi refuses to admit the problem, saying they can not duplicate it and they are not aware of a recall or a remedy for a recall. I am out of options and desperately need help.
My Jeep has stalled at least 5 times with the power steering failing. 1) once while at an intersection turning left on a green arrow no steering. 2) traveling about 45 mph and stalled again and no steering. 3) twice going from 55 mph up to a stop sign and the car stalled again no steering. 4) just last Friday, I was driving 55 mph and slowing to make a left turn and again stalled and no power steering. This is getting serious and happens unexpectedly which makes driving dangerous. The stalling is happening more frequently now. I've contacted Jeep and they say a recall has been issued but no fix has taken place and is to be determined with no idea when. The recall was issued late last year. So how long does it take to fix a relay issue? this has gone on far to long and getting scary. Please help me and get some kind of answer from Jeep. Sincerely, terry farber.
I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It stalls when I stop at a red light. I'm afraid it will shut down while I'm driving. I just had my oil change and filter what can I do is it a recall ? thank you for your time.
Engine stalls, wont start or dies right after starting, I think it is part of a recall with no fix available. If in motion it dies and losses power. Put in neutral to start while rolling! this happens more and more frequently lately.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while pulling out of a garage the power steering, the brakes and the acceleration pedal lost power. The contact was able to stop and restart the vehicle and all of the components functioned again. The dealer fx caprara Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram - watertown 18476 us-11, watertown, NY 13601 (315) 788-7400 stated that there was no recall on the vehicle. When the contact told them of the NHTSA recall number: 19v-813000 (electrical system) the dealer said there then said there were no parts to do the repairs. The manufacturer took a case number for the contact and said they will contact the dealer and let them know the process of orderingthe part. When the contact called the dealer back, they said there is no process for ordering the part but manufacturer stated there was and to contact the service department of the dealer. The contact ended up purchasing the part and took it to the dealer but they refused to do the repair. They said they would contact the manufacturer. The dealer even wanted to charge for the repairs. The vehicle is currently at the dealer un repaired and the dealer was charging for the diagnostic test. The failure mileage was 145,000. Tf.
I was driving my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee down a city street when with out any warning the vehicle completely cut off. I could not control the vehicle at all not even honk the horn to let other driver know something is wrong with my vehicle. When I took it to get fixed the dealership said I need a new totally intergrated power module.
On several occasions, my Jeep Grand Cherokee ltd, has started to stall out when I am accelerating forward. It was in motion when this happened, and has shown a zigzag icon, on my screen,( which I am not sure of the meaning of that icon). But I do know if feels as though it is a fuel failure, problem. This has been on city streets, and when coming out of a turn on acceleration. It almost has come to a stall, on all occasions. This has happened without notice, on at least, half a dozen times. It is scary as I sometimes need to have more power, than I am getting when it stalls. It has enough hesitation, to cause me to be in danger at times. I am trying to get an appt at jim smolich motors, in bend oregon, to have it checked out, but I did notice a recall notice, that is dealing with this issue, and that is what I believe this is. Please reply and set up an appt. With the above Jeep dealer if you can. Thank you. Carol oatman, bend oregon. Ph 541-408-2392.
Vehicle has been under recall since December 2019 which I have tried servicing many times but keep being told no parts are available. So I have been dealing with the car either not starting the first time or even at all, stalling right after starting and stalling while in motion. My Jeep has stalled while doing 70 mph on the highway, leaving me in a panic to try to get to side of the road as fast and as safe as possible. My Jeep has stalled at a intersection where other cars had to go around me, it has stalled several times while driving anywhere. The breaking point for me was that on 6/11/2020 I was driving down a busy street in the city doing 50mph and my Jeep stalled out and the only thing I could do was get into the middle turn lane, I had called my mom through my bluetooth in the car to let her know I was stuck and needed help since I had my two small children with me, as we where talking a car came into the turn lane almost hitting me head on at 50mph. My mom heard us all scream as we thought we where going to get hit. My car has been in and out of the dealership since that day and I am still having problems with it stalling while I'm driving!.
Received a recall notice in November 2019, and still no part available from Chrysler. My Jeep is having the issue related to the recall and they don't know when it will be available. There is temporary part available at the dealer that they can put in in the meantime, but I have to pay for the diagnosis and the part and labor and if they agree, they may reimburse me for some of it. That is not okay, because if the original part was available by know, I wouldn't have to pay for anything! the recalled part, fuel relay issues, causes the engine to stall with out warning, while your running or not start at all. I shouldn't have to pay for an issue due to a recall. Six months to come up with a recalled part is a little long to make "minor fix" as I've been told 15 times!.
I've been having numerous possible safety issues with this vehicle, for example : intermittent starting, lost of power @ highway speed, proximity sensor giving warning while driving with no obstruction in path, air ride system adjust at random even while parked ect.
While driving car would stall. I am afraid that I will get hit from behind due to this problem. I was notified that it's a new recall. , and needs immediate attention. Nobody needs to get hurt due to lack of attention to this problem. The part should be out and ready to be replaced. This is a big safety issue and again, needs immediate attention. This happens unannounced. . While driving, turning ect. I'm scared. . And was told not sure when part will be coming in possibly mid January! that's crazy! I might have gotten this part replaced in the past not sure. . Will try and find out from the mechanic. But it happened ed again about 2 weeks ago. Please advise. Thank you.
I am just writing to complain that 8 months after recall 19v-813 was released there is still no fix. My wife's car randomly stalls on her and it's not safe. We know have our first child due in September and she's terrified to have to drive her anywhere as her Jeep is her only means of transportation.
The safety recall for the faulty fuel relay pump has been first identified in 2019, as of today Feb 2021 the dealer has still no date for the availability of the part nor an installation date to remedy this situation.
My vehicle has had a service recall since 11/2019 with no remedy available yet as of 06/07/2020. The issue can leave a driver stranded or cause a crash and yet 6 months have passed with zero resolution. This is unacceptable.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, making a right turn the steering wheel seized, all warning light flickered. The contact managed to gain control of the steering wheel veer to the shoulder of the road. Which the contact noticed oder coming from the engine. The contact turn the vehicle off contacted an independent mechanic who towed the vehicle back to the contact residents. The next day the vehicle resume back to normal and was taken to the dealer spitzer Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of homestead 30101 s dixie hwy, homestead, FL 33032 (786) 650-3104 where it was diagnose but unable to duplicate the issues. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 132,000. Ck.
While driving 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with children in car, the Jeep just stalls out on me and I lose control of the steering. It has happened most times when I am making left and right turns.
My vehicle has stalled twice with my children in the car due to the listed recall in which Chrysler has already replaced once! this did not fix the problem and is currently at the dealer again for diagnoses because I am scared for my life to drive this vehicle. Can you please help! I was in motion going 55 miles an hour in the fast lane when the vehicle stalled for no reason. The Jeep service tech has linked it back to the same fuel relay and this could be a fatal problem if not fixed. Please I have three kids and myself that could be injured if this is not addressed ASAP!! Chrysler is recalling 188,723 2011 Dodge durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee suvs in the u. S. Because of a defective fuel-pump relay inside the power module that can cause the vehicles to "stall without warning," according to the national highway traffic safety administration. The suvs are equipped with either a 3. 6-liter v6 or 5. 7-liter v8 engine. "in the affected vehicles, the fuel-pump relay inside the totally integrated power module may fail, causing the vehicle to stall without warning," said NHTSA in its summary of the problem. "a vehicle stall increases the risk of a crash. " this is part of a global recall of an estimated 230,760 Chrysler suvs, including 15,898 in canada, 7,126 in mexico and 19,013 outside the nafta region. Chrysler said it is unaware of any accidents or injuries linked to the recall. It added that no other vehicle functions, including airbag deployment, are affected by the fuel-pump relay. The affected suvs were built from January 5, 2010 to July 20, 2011. Dealers will replace the fuel-pump relay with one external to the totally integrated power module. The recall is expected to begin on October 24. Owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
My vehicle has randomly turned off on me twice during moderate to heavy braking. The first time was on 8/20/2019 and the second time was on 12/3/2019. I believe my issue is related to recall v62 and I am voicing my displeasure in the amount of time it is taking fiat Chrysler to design a remedy. This recall is actually recalling a prior recall, so I would scrutinize the engineering team that they can actually come up with a sufficient remedy, but I suppose that's not my point. My point is my vehicle and over 500,000 additional vehicles are on the road with a problem that is extremely hazardous with no eta in sight.
Crank won't start when finanly start put in gear dies out. This is done intermintly. . On the street.
Car has issue starting just keeps turning over, also acts like it wants to stall out while driving.
Stalls at normal operating speeds without warning. Very dangerous! has happend multiple times!!!.
Manufacturer has failed to remedy recall v62 (NHTSA recall number19v-813) for over a year. My car has stalled upon coming to a stop dozens of times since then. Almost causing an accident on multiple of those occasions.
Jeep stalls while driving down the road and huge safety concern for my daughter. It also does not start all the time until you try it 3 times. It stalls when vehicle is in motion and I understand there is a recall for the fuel relay that is causing this but no fix. I was sent to dealer who put new part on for the time being until fix is available but it did not make a difference. Stalled the next day while turning off of busy road and a truck was behind me and coming to the corner I lost use of power steering which almost caused a crash. This recall has been unrepaired for an unacceptable amount of time.
P54 / NHTSA 14v-530 was addressed back in 2014 however I still experience intermittent stalling during start up or braking. Issue typically happens in colder weather. Dealer says nothing is wrong but symptoms are identical to issues listed in p54 / NHTSA 14v-530.
When starting the vehicle the mileage jumps higher than what the actual mileage is. Problem with the suspension.
While accelerating to merge onto the highway, the check engine light came on and I could not accelerate above approximately 45 mph or 3000 rpms. I let off the gas thinking the Jeep would slow, but it didn't slow down. I was able to decelerate by braking (obviously). However, I was still unable to go faster than approximately 45 mph or 3000 rpms. I took it into the shop twice before because the check engine light came on, and I was told the oil pump was stuck on low (?) this has been an ongoing issue for the past four months. There has always been something wrong with this vehicle despite regular service maintenance visits.
Cranks but will not start. After a few tries it will start. Stalls while underway stopping at light. This has happened on and off for about 2 months. The latest was this morning.
Aloha I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is over heating. It started when leading up to the recall for a fuel pump relay. The part didnt really exist is what the dealership mention. They would put an order in for the part but it took almost 2 months for it to come in then they put the part in Jeep has never drove the same. I pulled up the code p0443 evap system I change that checked codes still had code n problem. I'm running out of option n money about to give up. Pls help is possible would like to jus get another vehicle but I spent mosr of my funds trying to find the Jeep smh. Help.
Three instances where two stationary and one in motion full acceleration with out touching the gas pedal. The dealer told me that there was a transmission fluid leak. Caused my transmission oil to burn which lead to a faulty transmission. Pcim was flashed and caused transmission to decelerate at 40mph loosing all function.
For the last several months my Jeep will not start all the time. It has shut down twice in the middle of the road while I was in 45 and 60 miles a hour traffic. I was able to turn my wheel to get into the far right lane. It is very unsafe and Jeep doesn't seen to care to correct the problem.
The Jeep is having trouble starting, the starter is running for several seconds but it wonts start until the second or third try. On several occasions the vehicle stall while running.
Car doesn't start. It was jump started and still did not turn over. The radio, lights air doors all still work but the engine won't turn over. I saw there was a recall for this issue and the dealership stated that the issue was repaired back in 2014. Why am I still having this problem?.
When the right turn signal is on the fog lights flash and the turn signal does not blink. When I turn the fog light button on my turn signal lights up but does not blink. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the tipm that was faulty. Now after I got it back both front turn signals do not work and the back flashes fast and sometimes flashes normally. Also back when I bought the car a year ago in June 2017 the car would start and I would let the engine warm up but about 20 seconds in, it would stall. When driving it would usually stall when I was breaking at stop lights and stop signs. I replaced the camshaft positioning sensor about 3 times so far and still feel the engine losing power at times.
Safety recall p54/nhts 14v-530 the problem that I am having is the totally integrated power module tipm. It says that it has been repaired at the Jeep dealership, however I am still having issues with this car shutting down in the middle of the highway or turning off the main roads and I am afraid I will get into a car accident.
