The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to leith Chrysler Jeep in raleigh, north carolina where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed. The alternator was replaced. On another occasion, the vehicle would not start while stationary. The vehicle was towed to the dealer again where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed again. In addition, the brake booster and master cylinder were leaking brake fluid. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17v572000 (service brakes, hydraulic), but the dealer stated that the master cylinder failure was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that the contact would have to pay for the master cylinder to be replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
