1 Brake Sensor problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2018

When slowing the vehicle it will just silently shuts off. This happens usually at the same 5 places, 3 of them when slowing to make a right hand turn in an s turn and the other 2 going straight slowing to stop to make a left turn across traffic. I feel like it's a combination of braking, steering wheel and when its shifting into 1st since I'm either in a stopping situation or s turn situation. When this happens I loose steering and brakes causing me to go into the opposite lane of travel head on. There have been recalls on the alternator for my vehicle but mine has never been included. There has been a recall for a sensor that has been completed but did not solve the problem. This is a serious issue, my chance for a head on collision is very very scary. This happens about 6-10 times a week.

2 Brake Sensor problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the air bag sensor light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised that the air bag control module had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the abs and instrument cluster module software need to be updated to correct a defective abs (anti- lock braking system). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 49,000.

3 Brake Sensor problem

Failure Date: 01/11/2012

This Jeep was replaced because the prior Jeep was lemon lawed. The engine light appeared after about 3 weeks of purchase, the car was brand new. Like the last Jeep, it would stall causing loss of power brakes and power steering. The electrical system would also freeze (navigation and radio) constantly and would not fix itself unless the battery was unplugged. Shave Jeep in thousand oaks, CA upgraded the engine and navigation software, but problems resumed short after. Shaver Jeep then informed me that they would only look at the vehicle if the engine light was on. The engine light would go on and off so it was hard to time it right to bring it into the shop. Because of this "rule," shaver Jeep will not acknowledge that the car has been brought in for repair 7 times. As of today, the car stalled on a busy freeway and put the passengers in danger. Constant engine code: crankshaft position sensor.
