The rear trunk opening while the vehicle is in motion the vehicle shutting down while driving at speeds over 40 mph, failing to recognize that it is moving the radio and infotainment system freezing for days at a time the vehicle frequently dying and becoming completely inoperable situations where the vehicle cannot be jump-started because it sparks, while all doors remain locked, leaving me with no way to access the car the car showing different & random amounts of fuel levels in the vehicle. None of which are accurate. It will show a half full tank with 157 miles left and within 10 minutes it then says I have a full tank with 342 miles left & it continues to change inaccurately.
While driving on a local neighborhood street at approximately 38 miles per hour, ( cruise control possibly engaged) , all the lights on my dashboard suddenly illuminated. A messages appeared stating that service was required for every guidance and braking system. At that moment I became concerned, so I attempted to use the brake. Despite pressing the brake pedal as hard as I could, the car did not slow down. I cannot remember if I downshifted using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, but I was able to coast to a manageable speed and pull into a parking lot. I then turned the vehicle off and on again, but all the warning lights remained on the dashboard. After waiting for about five minutes, the vehicle was restarted, and this time none of the warning lights were on. Since I was very close to home, I drove the rest of the way very slowly. Later, I searched online and discovered that other people have experienced this same problem. Some of the information I read suggested that water can get into a component, and it had been raining on the day of the incident and the day before. My primary safety concern is what would have happened if I had been approaching a stoplight or driving on a freeway where I needed to stop suddenly. I am confident that I would not have been able to stop in time to avoid a crash. It is frightening to think of what could happen if a child were to run into the street and this happening. I immediately made an appointment with my local Jeep dealership. The dealer has since driven the vehicle 98 miles but has not yet been able to replicate the issue.

- automatic emergency breaking system unavailable - service required alert -blind spot unavailable - service required alert - car was sold with these lights coming on. Dealership told us it was just tightening up some wires. They ended up replacing two modules. After 5 trips to the dealership the service fixed it for approximately 3 days before it came back.

Blind spot alert light came on and has stayed on. Took on 7/8/2025 to Jeep dealership… they still have as of 8/28/25 and can’t figure how to fix it.

Sensors that activate when objects are close to vehicle and are supposed to warn collision do not work at all. Sometimes they activate when there are no obstacles at all and the vehicle is stationary. Pedestrians are not noticed nor are objects/vehicles that are in the way as the vehicle is in motion (and even stationary). Also the system seems to reboot at will while driving.

Blindspot indicator keeps turning on and off, distracting the driver. Have taken vehicle to dealer many times they say it can’t be fixed even though it was during warranty. They say a Jeep is aware, but no plan to fix.
The Jeep uconnect system control screen has delaminated form normal use which is a well documented issue on thousands of Jeeps from online research. The delamination now has the vehicle pushing buttons on the screen by itself and changing safety parameters while driving. I have a video showing that while I am driving and not pushing any buttons the screen is frantically changing steering parameters, braking parameters, collision avoidance, lane departure, blind spot, etc. I have a video of the incident and screen doing this by itself. I can not upload it due to size, but please contact me for the video and I will send it.
I purchased this vehicle 04/15/2025. Starting at less than 500 miles the blind spot indicator warning lights along with the abs braking system warning lights randomly come on while driving. To receive random warning light notices and sounds while driving is extremely startling and concerning. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership multiple times with no success of fixing the issue. They have been in touch with Chrysler’s engineers. The engineers have given instructions such as inspecting the electrical system, replacing the main module and software updates all of which have not corrected the problem. The vehicle is still at the dealership with no resolution. Apparently, these issues have been reported before not only for the Jeep grand wagoneer but other Chrysler vehicles as well. As a loyal Jeep customer, I purchased this vehicle because of the safety features advertised. However, it has become a nightmare and I do not feel safe driving in this vehicle at all. Please research these safety concerns.
One my navigation is lost second my stop and start button light is on and most importantly the sensors seem off changing lanes beeps at wrong time I feel these things seem wrong a few times now.
The issues I'm experiencing are a rubbing sound when breaking and turing the wheel. The car turned on and could not be turned off. Nothing worked or responded no matter what you pushed. The brake sensor and lane assist diagnostic fault codes (error codes)popped up which they couldn't find a bulletin or error code to replicate the issue. The vehicle would not read the key fob, it would say the fob had left the vehicle because the door opened, or if I move the key while in the vehicle( bulletin for this issue). I get the call that my vehicle is ready and I'm driving away and the steering wheel vibration coming from the engine between 40 and 49mph feels like I should be driving on rumble strips, but the drive is smooth, this is coming straight from the engine or transmission when you accelerate through the steering wheel. This was not an issue before they ran their tests and fixed said problems. The computers are still updating on the screen and I hope that it evens out when the car turns on and off and the computers reset. Now today the car starts dinging and error codes are flashing on my dash. It's the lane sensor and the lane assist error code going crazy. This was the issue they couldn't replicate or find a bulletin on. Here's the fun part, the problem becomes more consistent when I apply the brakes. One time the brakes seem to not work properly. All these error codes pop up when you initiate the braking system. Then the final error code was warning me that the breaking system was faulty. I drove it straight to the dealership and left out with them again.
Was in an accident another car hit us running approximately 45-50 when we was turning in. And no airbags deployed.

We the dealership technician had the vehicle for a repair, he was driving it back-and-forth to work like he owned the car and one day he was leaving his home to go to work and the suspension failed so that had to be fixed and that was back on one of the many time it was in the shop. The stop/start engine doesn’t engage for me when I break for me. For me to get it to engage I have to slam on the break as if I was bracing for an accident and then the stop/star engine mode will engage. I think this vehicle has had five clusters replaced in the car, due to the parking sensors, side warning sensors not working. I believe the fifth one went in Dec 2024 once again. The vehicle was in the shop from November 22, 2024 until yesterday decemberi 2, 2024 when I picked it up. I got home and the parking sensors didn’t beep off and I could’ve crashed it into my garage door and I went through the system and it was already selected to beep but didn’t, then I started getting a message saying that the side warning sensors are unavailable. I put it in reverse it tells me the wipers are off, so maybe all the clusters that they’re making are faulty. The Jeep retention customer service even sent a specialist, technician assistant to the dealership twice or three times to deal with this issue and it’s still not fixed. The dealership service center has put in request for answers of how to fix these problems and have had to wait weeks for answers because they don’t know the answers of how to fix the problems with these vehicles and they send a specialist and still the problems still occur they say put in a new cluster a new cluster gets put in the problem still happens. The part is shipped directly from a manufacturer and they have no eta on that part and my car would still be in the shop, but the Jeep retention customer service rep had it expedited but the problem is still ongoing. There needs to be a recall on this car and people should get their money back.
On mopar recall service done shows it had been serviced and bunch of lies I have never taken my 2021 Jeep to get serviced for power steering issue. Barely came out 1 week ago and crazy service man at boggus tipton Jeep in brownsville texas named josh, white male wanted to charge 4500 dollars to repair knowing supposibly there was an issue recall and I declined so wanted to charge me 2500 after I declined. He was more than likely gonna charge Chrysler and me both ways to make the dealership double the money for a bull**** fix. My Jeep has never been in service for the power steering recall. After readings previous comments I think Chrysler is lying that the fixed and issue on many customers of recalls. [please check your VIN and put a complaint and call Chrysler like I am tomorrow and will get an attorney involved for a false fix and claim.
Jeep Grand Cherokee’s are know for their faulty transmissions, I just bought a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the dealer and it has a faulty transmission. I’ve research and found out that other owners have same issues. This issues cause the car to jerk forward going from 2nd to 1st gear. This can be an issue because the jerk is strong and can cause an accident when stopping. Please help us out with this issue as it is a safety concern. Thank you!.

Massive alerts, on and off every few miles, then power steering locked out when pulling into an intersection. Almost was hit. Luckily, I was able to put the car in reverse and back into the side street. This needs immediate attention. Had the vehicle towed to dealer.
Well maintained and properly serviced car. Never had any issues. While driving out of town, 4hrs into the drive the electrical system went haywire. Error messages began cycling through on the driver panel - stability control lights, service air bag system, engine light comes up, and service bag system, after which the car loses total power. After pulling onto the side of the road, I placed car in park, and attempted to restart and it would not power on. All lights are working but the vehicle will not start - it makes starting sound but won’t power on. After trying for about 30 minutes, the ac blower pop on, which was strange b/c the car was powered off. The car starts and is driven about a mile and the same thing happens all over. After trying another hour it starts again and drives another 2 hrs to my destination (at this time the radio and ac was powered off. ) I chose to leave it off as I didn’t want anything to stop vehicle since it was running. Upon arriving to my destination a mechanic looked at it and said the electric systems stopped communicating and he reset it. The vehicle drove around town, a fee miles here and there, seemingly fine. When I put it back on the highway to return home the next day, the problem started all over again. We ended up stranded on the side of the highway yet again and after about 20 minutes, the car started up. We were able to drive to the nearest gas station at which time I attempted to turn the car off, thinking that maybe that would help to reset it. At this time the vehicle would not turn off. The front windows were not operating. The windshield wipers would not come on. It just so happened to be raining heavily, and I had to drive in the rain with no windshield wipers. Next, all the instruments went down. Gas hand went to e, even though there was over 200 miles of gas. The blind spots warning lights lit up and remained lit, the car appeared to want to lose power, would putter but remained on. Made it home and car powered off.
Fca pushed an involuntary software update to our car on August 6, 2024. It completed about 75% of the update and froze, rendering our display and systems unusable. Our back-up camera only works intermittently as does many of the adas safety features. We have no temperature controls or radio either. We have been to the dealer multiple times and they are being told by fca that the entire unit needs to be replaced. A search of social media (reddit) shows that others may be having the same safety issue. The dealer says they have had four more incidents come into their shop.
My Jeep has a screen on the dashboard that controls the radio, navigation, and settings for the vehicle (I. E. The main "navigation screen"). All of the safety and advanced driver assistance systems are controlled through this screen and user interface. There is no other way to control/adjust these systems. There is a widespread issue with the late generation wk2 Jeep Grand Cherokees where the screen delaminates, rendering the entire screen and user interface non-functional. This results in a safety issue where multiple systems (including the adas) cannot be cannot be adjusted or used. I reached out to Jeep/Chrysler/stellantis for assistance in repairing/replacing the screen. The denied a claim to repair or replace the screen. I do not feel safe operating a vehicle where I cannot control or adjust critical operations of the car. I believe this widespread issue of screen delamination should be considered for a recall.
Multiple times during the day I have a number of alerts popping up in my dashboard. These include the blind spot monitoring which continues to go on and off. Braking system, ect. Please see pictures.
Driving home on dark, deserted roads, my brights will not click on. When I click, nothing happens. When I hold the turner back in the mode to “flash my brights”, the bright headlights will come on. I had to drive holding this back almost an hour so I could see. I had a mechanic look and he said the switch is wired to the computer, so it is not an easy fix, but will have to go to the dealership. This is a safety issue. Dealerships are far from me and expensive. I’ve never had this issue with a vehicle before, when all lights are functioning. It should be recalled and fixed by the manufacturer.
Since purchase, I have had problems with the u connect system, which at times renders all communication and some luxury items to be inoperable 1 week ago, car completely had both batteries drain spontaneously . Dealer replaced both batteries with no further explanation. On 5/21, on highway trip, warning lights came on, lane assist, blind spot, abs stopped working. A/c was blowing hard, but could not adjust. Windows would not open. Hatch would not open, back doors would not open , door lock/ unlock did not work. Could only use handle on inside to open car. Could not adjust side mirrors. Promptly rerouted my day trip back home via side roads and not expressway due to uncertainty of safety. Drove it right to dealer and left the car running while checking in. Car starting flashing lights while service writer was checking car in. Then all lights- headlights and tail lights went dark without touching car. Engine still running. Car is not safe or reliable to drive. Had 12,400 miles and have owned it 18 months. Mostly highway driven by retired couple. 5 th service of electrical issues since purchase. It has been kept multiple days each time.
My vehicles electrical system has completely stopped working due to a software update that Jeep is applying to their vehicles. For some reason my vehicle is not up for recall for this issue.
Started engine and had no power steering plus all warning lights on dash.
My Jeep is a 2020, and I recently bought it last June as a certified preowned vehicle from a Jeep dealership. I was having electrical and fuse problems when my moon roof on the vehicle stopped working. Recently driving home at night, I lost all lights on the vehicle. Headlight, high beams, brake lights and turn signals, the lights do not work on the vehicle and I was driving in the complete dark. My gas tank also was having issues and it does not allow me to fill the tank because it thinks it is always “full” even though it is not. I brought the vehicle to the dealership and they stayed I have a completely fried computer system as well as the vent tube on my gas tank is “clogged” and the entire gas tank needs to be replaced. I have owned the car for less than a year and a half, it is only three years old and the warranty just expired. There is no way a vehicle with only 32,000 miles has a completely failed computer system along with needs a full gas tank replacement. They are stating to fix the safety issue it is $2700. The manufacturer is taking zero responsibility. Roughly 6 months before I took it to them because I was having fuse issues.

I am reaching out to discuss a serious and concerning issue I recently experienced with my Jeep Grand Cherokee l. While driving, the vehicle suddenly lost power steering completely, making it incredibly difficult to control. This was not only unexpected but also quite frightening, given the potential for accidents in such situations. To add to the concern, about six warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Notably, messages like "blind spot monitoring system unavailable", "lane assistance", and, most critically, a warning about the power steering were displayed. I noticed the check engine light come up as well and the detectors on my mirrors were lit up as if the entire system was malfunctioning. Having looked into potential causes, I came across a recall notice for the 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee l models regarding a steering assembly issue. I am deeply concerned that my vehicle might be affected by this recall and, considering the risks associated with such failures, I believe this matter needs urgent attention. Additionally, I had my little one in the car and am deeply concerned that we could have potentially been involved in an accident related to the malfunction. I’m reading that others have experienced the same issues.
Hello, I own a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee still under warranty and in the last few months have noticed the display screen starting to delaminate, it has become an eyesore but it does not bother me. What does bother me is what happens as the display screen delaminates. The glue melts, and leaks onto wiring of all the components under the screen including the ac, all the parking sensors/rear sensors, and traction control, causing them to short out. Shortly after my screen started to delaminate I noticed a notification on my dash telling me that my rear sensors were no longer accessible. Since then I have had multiple cars in my blind spot that I could not see that posed the potentially threat of a terrible accident. After noticing this I went online to see if anyone else was having this problem and as soon as I clicked search, thousands upon thousands of reviews and message boards full of people having the exact same issue I am having came up. This is not only a problem with the 2019 it is also a problem with previous Jeep Grand Cherokee models and models after 2019, ex:'20, '21, '22. Jeep obviously knows that there is a flaw in their display screens because of all of the online commotion about it, but what I don't think they know is that this one problem causes many more problems due to the glue leakage onto other wiring underneath the display screen. With the amount of crucial wiring and electrical systems that newer model cars rely on, I feel that this is a huge safety concern not only for myself but for the hundreds of thousands of Jeep Grand Cherokee owners in the us. All it would take is a few drops of glue from the display screen to leak on a crucial component underneath the display screen shorting out the sensors to cause a horrific accident for drivers that have become use to their blind spot sensors and rely on them for safety. Please help us notify Jeep about this concerning issue so they can recall the screen and potentially save lives. Thank you so much!.
October 12,2023 yellow lights in mirror came on a message came into dashboard I pulled into garage. October 13 and 14 yellow lights do not come on for a second when I start vechicle nor do they come on in reverse mode when adjacent to vechicle etc a fault is detected it’s not working properly tge blind spot module and rear sensors.
I accidently backed into a tree when my parking warning system and blind spot warning system didn't work. Damage to my vehicle was to the right rear quarter panel, bumper, tailgate and tail light. It was only after the accident occurred, that I found out that Jeep had a recall for the rearview camera visibility system. I feel that Jeep should be responsible for the repairs. My insurance company advised me to file a complaint with you and also with Jeep before they become involved. Please advise me as to what steps I should take. Thank you james stapleton.
Power steering would not work said to service blind spot unavailable and service electronic stability control.
Power steering and other warning lights, including blind spot monitoring and lane assist, came on in a Grand Cherokee. I was unable to move the vehicle - the power steering was locked. Fortunately, it wasn’t on the road, but the driver was stranded until able to get the vehicle started eventually. The issue with the power steering is concerning, especially while driving. The engine light has remained on since.
Numerous messages regarding safety features appearing on cluster advising service required: active lane management, blind spot alert, auto emergency braking, rear braking assist features vital to safe operation of vehicle, stellantis / fca has zero knowledge & info as to cause of failure & fix.
Not the first time but while I am driving the car steering will lock and I can no longer move it. The latest was when I went to see fireworks with my kids and while on the way there I was going to turn and while turning the steering locked and I couldn’t turn anymore so I had to break before I hit a pole but another car almost crashed into me, honked at me, and flicked me off. On the way home I was driving straight and had to turn but couldn’t because the steering wheel locked and I almost drove into a canal. This is a safety issue that concerns me and I am scared for my life and my kids life and at this point I’m scared to drive because I don’t know when it will lock. I’ve taken it to Jeep many times with no solution.
After starting 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, multiple warnings displayed on dash including: service power steering, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable service required, and rear braking assist unavailable. The ignition was fully turned on and after shifting into reverse, there was no power steering which required extra effort to turn the steering wheel. The power steering was out for approximately 20 minutes. After restarting the car 20 minutes later, the power steering and blind spot alert was back. A check engine light persisted. After taking to auto zone to read check engine light, there was no readable code. The warnings have since went away. The vehicle had 2,497 miles on it at the time of this occurrence which was on June 9, 2023 at 10:18 am.
