To whom it may concern: I am writing to formally notify you of a serious and dangerous safety defect involving the vehicle I purchased from carvana on February 2, 2026. On April 9, 2026, while driving on the highway at 70 mph, my truck stopped abruptly after experiencing a critical wheel failure. Upon exiting the vehicle, I notice that all the lug nuts were missing. I immediately located a tow driver that confirmed what I observed. The tow company towed the vehicles to a Dodge mechanic in paducah, ky. Upon inspection by a certified mechanic, I was informed that the wheel failure was caused by either a improperly installed loose or too tightened lug nuts, resulting in damage to the wheel hub and wheel assembly, which condition represents a severe safety hazard that could have resulted in catastrophic injury or death. Prior to the malfunction, there were no warning lamps or messages until the actual event. When purchased, carvana represented that its vehicles undergo thorough inspections and are safe for operation. However, this incident demonstrates a clear failure in inspection, preparation, or mechanical servicing, including but not limited •failure to ensure lug nuts were properly installed and secured •failure to identify an obvious and critical safety issue •delivery of a vehicle that was not roadworthy at the time of sale a wheel detachment risk is not a minor and or normal wear and tear as stated by carvana's warranty company silver rock warranty and carvana warranty support team. The malfunction was a fundamental safety failure that any reasonable inspection would have identified and corrected prior to sale.

I am reporting a systemic safety failure involving a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee sold as a "certified pre-owned" (cpo) vehicle. Despite the mandatory 125-point cpo safety inspection, the vehicle was delivered with multiple safety-critical defects that should have prevented certification. Primary safety risks: suspension/stability: the vehicle exhibits vibration and instability at all speeds, resulting in a loss of steering stability and difficulty maintaining lane position at highway speed. Tire integrity: the vehicle was sold with dry-rotted tires, indicating structural degradation that poses a high risk of catastrophic failure/blowout. Electrical/powertrain: the auto start/stop system is faulty. Additionally, the paddle shifters are non-functional, which interferes with manual gear selection and driver control over the powertrain. The selling dealership has refused to acknowledge these defects or bring the vehicle into compliance with manufacturer safety standards. Furthermore, stellantis corporate has failed to provide a safety compliance review. These mechanical and electrical defects existed at the time of sale and represent a failure of the cpo safety process.

Vehicle: 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd purchase date: [xxx] mileage at purchase: ~54,900 miles dealer: cherry hill Jeep Chrysler Dodge, cherry hill, NJ I am filing this complaint because I am currently being required to drive a vehicle with a severe wheel misalignment that is visually observable, while the selling dealership has deemed it 'drivable' and has not completed the necessary repairs. On [xxx], I was involved in an accident in which I struck a curb after sliding on black ice. The damage included a bent lower control arm and a cracked subframe. I brought the vehicle to cherry hill Jeep Chrysler Dodge for repairs, which took approximately three weeks. I took delivery of the repaired vehicle on March 13, 2026. Upon taking delivery, I immediately noticed a severe misalignment. The wheel misalignment is so pronounced it is visually apparent while driving. I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they acknowledged the alignment issue. They have since told me there are additional parts needed to complete the repair, and that those parts have not yet arrived. As of today, April 10, 2026, the dealership has confirmed they still do not know when the parts will arrive. Despite the unresolved alignment issue, the dealership has deemed the vehicle 'drivable' and I have been left with no choice but to continue driving it. My daily commute is approximately 60 miles per day, 6 days per week. I have driven hundreds of miles in this condition. Driving a vehicle with severe wheel misalignment poses serious safety risks, including unpredictable handling, accelerated and uneven tire wear leading to potential tire failure, and reduced ability to maintain control in emergency situations — particularly concerning given that this vehicle's incident originated on icy roads. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate the dealership's decision to return this vehicle to me in an unsafe condition and require me to continue operating it without a timeline information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia).

Subject: formal complaint and request for escalation – 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trailhawk – VIN [xxx] good day, I am formally requesting an immediate engineering review and reconsideration of the denial of warranty coverage for my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trailhawk, VIN #[xxx], currently with approximately 3,012 miles. I believe a serious error and injustice has occurred regarding the diagnosis and classification of this vehicle’s failure as “weather related. ” this conclusion appears arbitrary and unsupported by any documented root cause analysis, engineering findings, or formal repair report. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I have 2 issues with this vehicle issue#1 the tire pressure sensor acts up on the front driver side tire pressure goes down to the low 20s then when driving it goes up to 43 and then back down to the 20s , the other is that I was driving from pennsylvania to new york and the car stalled in new jersey with no warning I was at the far left side of the highway and came close to getting rear ended twice real bad (my girlfriend who was and is pregnant) was on the passenger seat was hysterically crying because of how close we came to having an accident that would’ve cost us our lives , the car took 5 minutes to start again and we were escorted to safety by tow company that saw us through the cameras they have on the bridges very thankful to them escorting us cause we surely would have died that night.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at 10 mph, the wheels locked up. The contact was unable to identify which wheels had locked up. The vehicle began spinning in circles, and the vehicle crashed into a guardrail. The abs warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to continue to drive; the driver sustained injuries to the head and lower back, and medical attention was provided. The air bags did not deploy. There was no reported fire or police report filed. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 24v838000 (service brakes, hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

After a very long road trip, I noticed that the rear wheel well liners had come in contact with the rear tires. The contact was severe enough and prolonged enough to wear down the edge of the tires to the cords. Once I noticed the damage, I stopped driving the vehicle until I could get new tires. I do not have the tires but I took pictures and the wheel well liners still have a hole in them. Had I not noticed the damage, a catastrophic failure of the tire could have resulted with unknow consequences to myself or those driving near me. The wheel well liners did not come loose or detached from the vehicle. They somehow flexed forward and made contact with the tire. The tire/wheel did not flex or move rearward. This would have required major damage to the suspension of the vehicle and the vehicle would have been undrivable. My assumption is that with the very wet road conditions, the wheel well liners became very flexible but not enough to contact the tires. At highway speeds, due to the air flow around the vehicle, it appears that the lower quarter panels flexed inwards. This allowed the now flexible wheel well liner to flex forward, due to air pressure behind the wheel well liner, and make contact with the tire. Tire tires involved are not the stock make and model but were the stock size. I will be adding a small aluminum strip to the bottom of the wheel well liner to prevent this from happening in the future.

Recalled rear coils, over 2-3 months ago, taken to Jeep dealership in morgantown wv, taken for front ball joint knuckle pin coming lose, causing the upper ball joint to start to make noise, unable to control steering when raining or going over bump video was send to mopar when claim and complaint at the time, prior two weeks before also called and report it, someone canceled my call, and said they had no remedy at that time. Was told they had no remedy for recall at that time. Morgantown Jeep then proceeded to fix the rear suspension coil recall. Never notified me the part that was recalled was in fact broken when it was removed. Instead replaced it then told me my rear suspension, structs, and say bar links are broken on both sides of my rear end which mechanically is attached to these coils which is the resulting damages of driving the vehicle for 40,000 miles with improper installed coils. I report this to mopar when giving them the car, the rear end always bounced. I went through my first set of tires in less than 18,000 miles due to this. My case managers name was mary, she was very rude. Called me a liar more than once. They would not even call me to come pick my car up. When talking to the customer service guy at Jeep in morganttown. He said mary said fix only the parts and only what the exact recalled said. And they would not evaluate or do anything for my front control arm and pinch bolt, they tighted it, I even submitted photos where they just tightened it submitted to mopar. Also asked for submission of buy back program due to value dropping more than 10,000 dollars in 3 weeks time, attempted trade off for 38,000- owed 42,000 in octor 2022. Nov price dropped to 32,000 trade in. Value now for trade in due to severity of mechanical issues is now down to less than 28,000, I said 55,000 dollars for this car. I have a 2. 5% interest rate and did not carry over anything over msrp on this vehicle. I am unable to trade it. And the vehicle is barely drivable.
Manufacturer's full size tire as made by nexen was defect from the factory and is unsafe to use. However neither the Jeep dealer nor the tire manufacturer will make good on a replacement. The full size spare has never been used and has over 7 parallel gouges on the inner sidewall. It came like that from the dealer. No one wants to make it good. Because of their nature the gouge marks look to be made by heavy machinery like in a tire factory with conveyor belts.
I purchased a 2022 Jeep, my miles are under 20000, I took it to the dealership and told them something was going on with the vehicle. They checked the vehicle and said nothing was wrong with it. I ended up taking it back because the situation got worse, they finally told me it was my suspension. I also told them about the recall that was over looked. They told me to pick up my vehicle with no explanation to why. I had a warranty and there was no reason for them to deny me service.

Fuel cap recovery error light comes on and when taken to the dealership and diagnosed they replaced the fuel cap twice in 2 years. Still presenting the same problem. Engine rocker arm and camshaft failure on 3. 6l v6 pentastar engine. Stability control problem when driving on rough highway roads at highway speeds makes the vehicle over correct in a left or right direction out of lane almost causing accidents. New shocks & struts, and check of the stability control systems has not corrected the problem.

While driving on the highway Friday 5/3/24 in the middle lane the whole vehicle just shut down and locked up. Speed roughly about 20-30 mph in rush-hour traffic. No warning lights at all. Full tank of gas. Zero power to anything. Wheels locked up completely. Shifter nonresponsive to try neutral. No hazard lights. No brake lights. No way of giving other vehicles a warning. Could not open doors or windows. 911 was called to the scene and I was very thankful not to have been seriously injured or lose my life during this whole situation. I was transferred into the fire truck as to get out of traffic. Fire department had to google where to find locking mechanism for the wheels in order to push it over to the right lane. I have a police case number on hand. Vehicle had to be towed to a body shop. The vehicle was sent into service twice before for electrical/battery issues in March & April of 2024. Service dealership: brown Dodge-chry-Jeep.
Stellantis case # 90177098 travelers insurance case # i4v3783 without warning, the wheel collapsed and the vehicle rolled. Two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The Jeep was a total loss with driver injuries and alleged injuries from an individual in another vehicle involved in the accident. Vehicle is currently under investigation by insurance representatives, private investigators engaged by the insurance company, owner counsel, and now investigators by stellantis have been engaged. Suspected causation: 24v-132.
I was notified that my vehicle is involved in a recall for potential steering knuckle separation. I proceeded to contact Jeep (both dealer and recall department) to know what is going to be done about this. I proceeded to inform the agent that I was concerned with my safety regarding this recall, and was told by the agent that at the moment they have no means to repair the problem, they cannot provide me a solution in regards to a safer car, and if the car had issues related to this recall that I would just have to deal with it. The company denied providing me a lease or rented car in the mean time, denied me any timeline for a solution and disregarded my safety concerns regarding this risk. I am and my family is at risk of serious injury/death in the event that the wheel can fall outward while driving as a loss of “clamp load” defects.
There is a manufacturer recall number10b NHTSA recall number24v-132 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available. When calling the dealership to schedule the fix they said they don’t have one and don’t know when one will be available they haven’t been given that information. In the meantime am I just supposed to drive a Jeep that could crash at any given time.
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the safety risk highlighted in the open recall 24v-132. Upon reviewing the details provided, particularly the issue involving the damaged pinch bolt which may break and lead to a loss of clamp load between the uca ball joint and the knuckle, I am gravely concerned about the potential consequences. As someone who prioritizes the safety of myself, my loved ones, and others on the road, it is distressing to contemplate the possible ramifications of such a failure. The prospect of the uca separating from the knuckle and the wheel subsequently falling outboard poses a significant threat not only to the occupants of the vehicle but also to other road users. In particular, the thought of being in a situation where the safety of my three children, or anyone else for that matter, is compromised due to this issue is deeply unsettling. The absence of prior warning exacerbates the seriousness of the situation, as it leaves little room for proactive measures to mitigate the risk. Given these circumstances, I implore you to take immediate action to address this safety concern and ensure the prompt implementation of necessary repairs or replacements as outlined in the recall. The well-being of everyone involved is paramount, and it is crucial that swift and decisive steps are taken to minimize the likelihood of any potential accidents or injuries. I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that you will prioritize the safety of all individuals affected by this recall.
Tire pressure monitoring system failure multiple times a week. I've taken it into the service department several times and they can't seem to find a fix. Every time I get the alarm on my car, I have to get out, check all the tires to make sure I can drive safely. My sister in law has the same car and they are getting these alarms too. Jeep needs to get a fix for this ASAP.
My car now has 2 open recalls associated with it (for a grand total of 5 overall) - and it only has 9,580 miles on it. The latest recall, 24v-132, does not have a remedy yet available. Jeep indicates the earliest they will be able to fix my car is April 8, 2024. I have told them numerous times I feel it is unsafe to drive. They are not giving me a loaner. They are not giving me a rental. I am stuck until "someone from the recall division calls" me back. Even though it's a rist of the wheels falling off, which can cause a wreck with no warning! recall 24v-11 was enacted on 2/15/24. My defrost system doesn't work well . . .
This is a new 2023 grand Jeep wagoneer series iii l with an inline six ho engine that seats eight passengers. After about 500 miles or less, we noticed the vehicle shaking at highway speeds. Since it has only worsened, it has been to the dealership four times for a fix, without a solution. They exchanged the pirelli tires for a michelin, which did not fix this vibration error. While at highway speeds, everything shakes; the front headrest visibility shakes a lot, and the water in water bottles in the center console has a funnel effect, which clearly shows it’s a vibration issue, not a bumpy road issue, also, while seated, the floorboard and the seats, motorist, and passenger you can noticeably feel the vehicle shaking; at one point, my wife started to feel sick. As a result, now she only rides in the back seat. This ultra-luxury vehicle has an intense vibration issue while at highway speeds; the roads are smooth, and we tested it across three states while doing a family trip; it's clearly something with the engine mounts, suspension, or a drive shaft that is not well balanced. The dealership told us that they could not do anything because they did not know how to fix it as they drove other vehicles, and some shook too, even worse at around 40mph. They stated this is normal for the vehicle. Well, it’s not normal for a vehicle, but it might be for this model because of poor engineering or qa parts issues. Either way, my vehicle is not safe to drive; with this vibration only getting worse, I fear it will cause a serious accident or damage the vehicle, shortening its life span, and at 120k, this should not be the case. We want what we paid for and want this issue fixed ASAP.
- my spare tire, lane assist, and/or emergency breaking, which none went into effect during the incident. - I was forced off the road where I collided with a parked car on the side of the street, which led me to being taken by ambulance to the local hospital. - not yet, my vehicle is currently at a body shop being repaired. - I asked my insurance to investigate when they went for the appraisal, but am unsure if it was done. - no warnings were given prior to the collision.
Lug nuts on tires have swelled up and expanded causing inability to get tire to come off with emergency lug wrench that comes with the vehicle. This poses a risk for driver if they come across a flat tire as they will be left stranded. Still have yet to find a mechanic that has been able to get my tire off.

Lower control arm bracket failed. Yes available for inspection. The adaptive cruse lane assist function malfunctioned. Yes available for inspection. I was injured. Police inspected the wheel and called it into question a manufacture defect in the police report. Manufacture (Jeep) acknowledges it but has been unresponsive. No warning when the wheel assembly disengaged (wheel, brake, tie rod, control arm, stub axel from the vehicle) traveling at 67 mph prior to crashing into a barrier.
Please see attached further information as to complaint recently filed, NHTSA id # 11525685.
After hitting a bump in the road, my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee summit began to violently wobble while being flat towed behind my motor home on I-475. Vehicles in close proximity of the Jeep I was towing were at risk as there was a possibility that the vehicle could have broken loose or flipped endangering others. It appears that this defect is already known to the manufacturer of the Jeep and other models have been proven to have a defect that causes what is known as the death wobble. Apparently, Jeep has bought back some vehicles with the death wobble defect. The vehicle is currently being analyzed by the newnan peachtree Jeep dealership in newnan georgia. The owner's manual clearly states that the vehicle can be flat towed with all four wheels on the ground. Instructions to flat tow the vehicle were followed as written. Jeep should be liable to the damage caused by this defect and do whatever it takes to remedy the problem. Buying back this Jeep from the owner should also be an option to the owner/customer.
Abs light/traction light comes on when I break or reverse. When I start up the car it is never on. The car jerks as it shifts to 2wd and I am informed that park sensor is off as well.
Loud creaking sound coming from both front tire areas when driving low speeds and turning the wheel. I took the vehicle to the shop and they could not identify where the creaking noise was coming from. There’s no knocking or shaking in the steering column. It sounds like it’s the shocks/ suspension in both front tires.

We purchased this grand wagoneer on mon June 27th and left for our family vacation we had planned in oklahoma. We live in castle rock, CO. The next day on Tuesday as we were driving on the I-35 the transmission would drop out of gear and the rpm's would rev up. This would be while doing nothing but driving normally . Then it happened about 5 times over the course of 1. 5 hours. We stopped for gas in and upon leaving to re enter the interstate the vehicle would kick when the gas was pressed. My definition of kicking is that the front end would kick right and the rear end would kick left. This was with any amount of torque from acceleration. In trying to figure out what is going on I called the closest Jeep dealership fowler to see if we can stop in and have them re program the transmission assuming that or the drivetrain might have been the issue. But then as I was driving it was making the vehicle kick more and it was getting scary as the vehicle could have flipped if I wasn't being as careful as I was. We were going to try to coast our way slowly to the dealership to avoid being stranded and try not to accelerate much but within a few minutes a large noise like we were carrying a train under out car started and it was very obvious something was wrong as the car was pulling and making lots of noises. I pulled over and looked under the car. Everything looked fine other than an enormous amount of grease on the frame by the rear right wheel/inside. There were zero warning lights, errors or messages of any kind on the dash throughout all of these issues. The diagnosis is that the cv boot ruptured and the axle separated from the frame also destroying the differential. In turn, the only conclusion is that it was not assembled correctly at the factory. The parts are at fowler Jeep right now in ok. Jeep is repairing it but not buying it back. This vehicle is unsafe and noone in their right mind would want to drive this car again with the unknown.
The breaka locked up and I went to go around so I wouldnt hit the person in front of me. When I did the front axle cv joint totally snapped off the passenger side that hold the tire on. And I couldnt steer or anything.

It increased speed, then tried to break and the breaks locked up, then I tried to move to not hit the car in front of me and the whole front passenger side control arm snapped off causing me to loose a tire.
Problem #1: abs sensor malfunction on all 4 wheels causing vehicle to stall on the highway. I could not accelerate and the whole vehicle was jerking. Huge safety issue. Problem #2: the screen/radio/navigation system malfunctioned while driving. The volume was going up and down, it was calling contacts in my phone, turning on air conditioning and heater, turning on seat warmer and cooler, changing radio/ songs, disconnecting and reconnecting to different bluetooths. Also a huge safety issue, I had to pull over until it stopped. Massive distraction.
2 of 4 wheels have cracked right along the seam at under 60,000 miles.
I was driving between 50 - 55 mph and without warning there was a really hard hit and loud noise that I thought may have been a blow out. It was daylight and no debris in the road that I hit to cause any damage. I had new tires that was approximately 5 months old and 44,000 miles on my vehicle. My insurance sent out people to look into the situation and it seems the right lower control arm and ball joint snapped which in turn cause the whole inside of my tire to be slashed.
I had cruise at 80mph on interstate highway and disengaged on exit ramp by using the brake. The car slowed but I used brake againn to yield onto 4 lane road and again to cross over 2 lanes into a gas station. I pulled up to pump slowly. When I put the brake on again to complette the stop, the cruise reengaged and the car took off. Luckily there was open parking spot,I aimed there and car just kept going. Over a curb, through about 75 yards of grass and into a field, about 25 feet in. No braking even tho I tried. In the brush was a concrete block I hit that caused both passenger tires to blow and then the car slowed and went to the left some 5 feet and stopped. No airbags deployed. I only plowed down small brush and missed a tree in my path when car veered left after tires blew. It was a dry sunny morning with no adverse weather conditions. I had only been driving for an hour and had stopped to get gas and use restroom. Thepa state troopers came but since no damage to other property and no injuries, they did not file a report. Usaa insurance notified at once and took the car. They claim it as a total loss. I am blessed to be ok but this cruise/brake malfunction could have been deadly anywhere else. I hope you will investigate I would not want anyone else to experience this.

On 9/23/20 my 2014 grand Jeep cherokee accelerated on its own causing me to crash into a fountain wall. I was parking and almost at a complete stop when my car went haywire. It felt as if I got hit from behind, my dash lit up, my engine revved real loud and my car lunged forward. There was enough force to lift my front end and place it on the 2nd tier of the fountain wall. I was in a tight parking area at the hialeah gardens building department. Please google earth the parking lot to understand the parking lot and how compact it is. I had an investigation done on my car and received a very generic response via email regarding the findings and that Chrysler / Jeep were not led to believe that the incident was due to a manufacturing responsibility. Not one person has called me to discuss. Jeep is very lucky my kids were not in the car and that I didn't kill anyone or myself. Customer care has been a joke. They told me that I can request call backs but it will never happen. I have a right to know what the investigation showed on my car. My car accelerated on its own! I cannot get any response from the Chrysler / Jeep on the investigation of the little black box and how they came up with their decision. I believe they send these generic emails out to shut you up and hope nothing further comes about. They know we have no means of talking to anyone and get away with having defaulted SUV's. They get away with lying and being unobtainable. I have additional pictures if you need to see them.
