The lug nuts on the vehicle were swollen and apparently it's a known issue with Jeep I had to pay money out my own pocket to buy new lug nuts to rotate my tires which cost over $200 and when I contacted Jeep via email they said they were going to diagnose the problem and reach back to me it's been over a year now and havent heard from them I contacted them 3 more times and no response. Now I have an issue with my bluetooth being connected to my phone it keeps kicking my phone out I did a reset and hasn't worked and Jeep dealership is telling me its $135 to fix which I refuse if there is a known problem with Jeep and the radios that should be on recall as well. I have to re-pair my phone everytime I get back into my car. The bluetooth hasn't been working since may 2019 and my lug nuts had to be replaced last year August 2018. I bought this car in 2015 and the dealership told me I had 5 year warranty come to find out I had one year remaining because it started in 2011 when the car was made. Customer service sucks more and more with these dealerships not knowing a thing ! they just tell me they dont kno anything about this or that that I complain about. Ridiculous.

The goodyear wrangler sr-a tires have all started to dry rot and because of that the vehicle has had 2 flat tires in 3 days. The tires are 2 years old and no where near the 50,000 mile tread life. So 2 times in 3 days we where driving and we have gotten a flat thankfully not a blow out but these tires are junk and need to be recalled.
Received transmission over temp message on dashboard after about 10 miles of driving in the morning. When the car has been in the heat for a while, the message could appear before 10 miles (sometimes immediately). The fan turns on and there is a definite lag in acceleration. Along with this error, I also get the service, tire pressure system message consistently. I've visited my mechanic with both issues and they thought it was fixed by the new battery, but they only drove the car for 8 miles to attempt getting the transmission hot, nor did they probably hit a bump/pothole to trigger the tire pressure system. They're puzzled as to why those messages are popping up because they don't see any further issues with the car.

My vehicle has decided to start bogging around 35mph. It has continually done this for a week and has decided to start driving horrible. It does not drive like it has been. We are going to check what the problem might be Sunday (7/7/2019) and attempt to fix. My Jeep is no longer covered under warranty.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee came with 20 inch tires. The "full size spare" is only 18 inch. The internet says having 2 different size tires can be dangerous for driving and /or damaging to the differential. Jeep should be made to give a valid full size spare tire. The customer has to pay extra for the 'full size spare'.

I nearly died on 5/8/19 driving my Jeep. I was going about 60mph on the expressway in the far left lane. My sos 🆘 went off on my phone and immediately I lost control of the car and wheels started turn into left and right. There was no more power steering and I had to struggle and force the wheel to the right and left so I wouldn't crash into the divider wall on the left and cars on the right when it would change lanes. This went on for what seemed forever. I reached for my phone that was flashing and pressed the cancel button and shortly after it began to calm down and I began to get some control. I don't understand what happened my phone was not connected to the blue tooth it was sitting on the passenger seat. You have an image that is described as a death wobble that is similar only mine was more profoundly severe. What is this and what causes it? it almost killed me. I could have had my grandchildren in the car with me. I do not want to go in to Jeep an they act like they don't know or can't find the problem. This is a deadly safety problem and I am afraid to drive this car. It is safe and there is no warning sign. Fix it immediately, recall it, exchange it, or refund it.
The vehicle radio/navigation system blacks out. System blacks on and off and when reset- navi udefined blinks on and off and system states it's in compromised for cyber security. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership 2x and will be dropping the car off tomorrow and leaving until they figure out what is wrong with it. The radio also tries to set itself to various stations. I have uconnect access and I have not paid for the service. I located yelp in the vehicle yesterday- the vehicle will be dropped off and I am demanding a resolution and I do plan on taking further steps with uconnect and Jeep/cryhsler. The vehicle was purchased new. It took me a while to determine it was the uconnect as I thought it was my phone. I did not think it was the fact that I connected the uconnect to the phone. I also took my vehicle to 2 Jeep dealerships to check on recalls.

I was on the highway with my 3 year old grandchild in the back when my car started shaking so violently I thought we were going to die! it literally felt like the wheels and the steering wheel as well were going to all fall off! I've never been more scared in my life. It was very difficult to slow it down and pull over to a breakdown lane so I could stop . I was even going under the speed limit when this happened.

Rims will collect mud, dirt, snow and become severely out of balance. Living on a gravel/dirt road makes this a re-occurring. Requiring the inside of the rims to be washed out. Never in 54 years of driving have I owned a vehicle with this problem. It makes the vehicle unsafe to drive until the rims is washed out.
Lug nuts have started swelling or ballooning and have started breaking. 3 lug nuts have ballooned where they are no longer tight on the stud. The other lug nuts can't be removed without breaking the stud. If I'm have a flat, I may not be able to change the tire without breaking the lug stud.

The michelin tires-285x60xr18 needed to be replaced at 16,000 miles. The wear bars were already showing. I took to Jeep dealership in lansing, michigan and was accused of driving wrong, not rotating and balancing (I am meticulous about service-so yes, did), driving on too many dirt roads (live in the city, city driving only-so no) and offered no discount on new tires. Discount tire told me that Jeep is notorious about putting on cheap tires to bring down cost of car. Seriously 16,000 miles of city driving! I bought the car new with 30ish miles on it. . . The tires should last more than 6 months. Something is wrong with these tires or the car!.
The goodyear tires have little tread left after 14,000 miles. Also, the kevlar goodyear are highly susceptible to penetration by staples. Staples! I can understand that no tire is impervious to nails but I would have thought that with kevlar these tires should be able to stop a staple. I guess not. Probably the most important issue is the lack of traction on the tires. They are absolutely horrible in the rain. Unsafe actually. These tires need to be removed from the market.
I was traveling south on cambridge rd. As I was approaching a shopping plaza, a vehicle was attempting to exit the parking lot of the plaza also heading south. As the vehicle was attempting to make the left hand turn, it pulled in front of my car, driving me off the road. I had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting that car, and when I did I crashed into an electrical pole, destroying the entire front end and totaling the car. The airbags did not deploy and this is why I'm filing this report.
We purchased 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2016 approximately 2. 5 years later we attempted to get new tires put on. We went to tire store & they stated that the lug nuts were defective. . They stated that the lug nuts were swollen and if they were to force the lug nuts off it would render the vehicle inoperable. As we had a lengthy road trip planned, we were forced to go to the Jeep dealership. Both the initial service writer, andrew, and later the service manager, john wilson, agreed the lug nuts were defective. But they stated it was fca's fault and gave me a phone number of 1-877-224-5356 I called fca said they would do nothing about this since there is no recall. I feel that we could have been killed if we would have gotten a flat tire in the wrong neighborhood as we would not have been able to put the spare tire on and the vehicle would have been inoperable. We were charged us $311. 19 and refuses to give us any relief. The service manager offered an oil change but they are 45 minutes away from our home and it is not practical for us to do this. I am happy that we decided to get tires before we left since the story may have been very different had we had any issues on this trip as our safety may have been jeopardized. I would appreciate any help you can provide us as we are afraid that they likely put defective replacement lug nuts back on. The lug nuts swell up and split apart when they are being taken off of the tires rendering vehicles inoperable. My husband stated he saw on line that Ford had a recall due to defective lug nuts on their SUV's and I feel that Jeep should be required to do the same. I feel that we should be given a full refund of the $311. 19 we were charged and they should also be required to put proper lug nuts on all of their vehicles affected by this defective product. Please help us and help others. Much appreciation & thanks.
The low pressure light stays on.

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. The contact stated while driving into her job's parking lot four of the five lug nuts broke off with just one keeping the back tire on the passenger side attached. The vehicle was towed a independent mechanic. The contact called the manufacturer who advised her not to move the vehicle until the investigator came to look because it could be part of recall. The contact called backed and was told by the manufacturer to have the vehicle towed to an alc shop or dealer certified by Chrysler. Since then the manufacturer has not called back. The dealer has not been contacted. The failure mileage was 109,000. Tf.
It's been since may 2018 with in/out visits to the dealership for a constant problem. My steering wheel wobbles over 70mph on my 2015 Grand Cherokee wk2 high altitude, all standard features. This started after 26k miles and now I have 39k miles. I've researched dozens of forums and read through tsbs with no solution. I had the dealer replace the tires, twice, with michelin premier ltx 20inch tires, several road force tests, high speed balances, several alignments, rack and pinion replaced, front wheel bearing assemblies replaced, all new shocks and after alllllllllll of that, she still wobbles!!!!!!! the dealer has thrown their hands up and will not help me any further. The steering wheel only wobbles between 70-80mph. Another customer's wheels were placed on my car and tested with same issue. Privately owned alignment centers also confirmed a spot on alignment and wheel balance. All bushings appear to be intact. The Jeep is not safe to drive on the highway.
Having electrical problems, door locks, air conditioner.
My name is edward ventura and I recently (03/09/2018) purchased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN# 1c4rjfbg1gc410154). The following day my tpms sensor lights came. I didn't think much of it, tried putting air in my tires but it didn't work. I took my car in to service the problem on 04/30/2018. After I dropped off my car I was told to wait for a phone call. When I got the call my service advisor robert, who was very nice and helpful told me all 4 of my sensors were missing and there's a strong possibility the previous owner also swapped out the tires as well. I purchased my Jeep with 8,000 miles, a lease return carrying a cpo stamp of approval. I was told there's nothing that can be done. I'd have to pay everything out of pocket. I didn't even get floor mats on the day of purchase I actually received them a month later. How does this happen? if my vehicle is a cpo doesn't is mean it past a multitude of tests? how is something so obvious missed? I'd appreciate some help in rectifying this problem, I spoke with the supervisor in charge of service and he never got back to me, unfortunately.
The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 35 mph uphill, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. As a result, the vehicle traveled across the highway and crashed into an embankment. The abs and skid control indicators illuminated. The front passenger and driver side air bags deployed. The contact sustained rib injuries, which did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (crowe auto group, llc, 303 tenney st, kewanee, IL 61443, (309) 852-2188) where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger wheel was corroded. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,558.
The vehicle experiences an issue in one of the areas noted, usually when accelerating through a gradual turn to the left such as on an "on" ramp. The drive train has been inspected by both independent mechanics as well as Jeep's authorized service center in yonker's, NY with reports of no physical damage. The Jeep service center has stated that while they too have experienced the malfunction, they are incapable of diagnosing the problem, suggesting it be driven by the owner "until it worsens".

Nhtsa: I have been in and around the tire business most of my life in 2015 I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee with 20 wheels and tires. In December of 2017 I literally got blown off the road into a ditch severely damaging my vehicle. I believe there should be a certain pressure per square inch factor on wide tires as mine obviously did not keep me on the road and they were heavily siped winter rated tires. I recently replaced them with an oversize tire with a high void to rubber ratio that puts more pressure per square inch on the tread. I also experienced hydroplaning in slush during the winter. Simply to advocate for keeping quality tires to stay safe is not enough. One of the biggest hoaxes upon the american people is al all season tire. There is no way they will match the hard packed snow and ice safety of a dedicated ice and snow tire. Thanks for listening. Larry gronemeyer.
With less than 2,000 miles, tire pressure sensors conflict with psi manual pressure gauge. The service department has inflated the tires to 36 psi which does not register as such, but lower by 2-3 psi. The pressure gauge sensors is incorrect under all drivings modes. It remains unresolved.
I own a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee summit 4x4 SUV which was manufactured and marketed by fca ua llc as being a recreational towing (I. E. Behind motorhome) compliant vehicle. When towing of the subject vehicle behind my motorhome at low speeds I have experienced periods of the violent loss of control in the form of uncontrolled steering of the vehicle's front wheels which pose a significant safety risk to both the vehicle, motorhome and public safety. In such events, I have been forced to stop in traffic, inspect the vehicle and motorhome, then pull off the road to a safe location where further inspection can be undertaken. The conditions described above have occurred when the vehicle was properly prepared for towing and following the specific guidelines supplied with the vehicle in the fca vehicle operator/owner's manual pages 593-601. Fca has advised that is has insufficient evidence in the form of consumer complaints to support further investigation, engineering and issuances of a solution for such vehicle owners. Numerous other owners who own and recreationally tow the same vehicle are experiencing the stated problem which is not currently being investigated properly by fca us llc. Evidence of such can be found on-line publications and public-forums such as the family-motor-coach association (fmca) and irv2 forums. Fca us llc has previously addressed a similar problem relating to uncontrolled towing with their Jeep cherokee model but to date, present no evidence to owners of the Grand Cherokee model of having researched and developed a fix for the unsafe condition. At present, fca us llc is telling Grand Cherokee owners to tow their vehicles on trailers (all four wheels off ground) due to the serious condition of uncontrollable steering which is unfair to those consumers who purchased such vehicles on the basis of them being flat towable compliant.
This Jeep has 36,000 miles and my tires are worn completely out. Most vehicles will get a good 60,000-70,000 before needing to replaced. I'm very unhappy about this. This Jeep yr and model has many recalls. Just got another for the alternator, which dealership has strongly suggested not to leave town, because the new part is not made yet. So between tires and alternator I feel like I'm grounded to my home town.
My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has repeatedly incurred severe problems with the tipm (module) which controls the car's quad air suspension system. This car has been serviced by skinner and damulis, richfield springs, n. Y. (at least) six times for the same problem, at great expense - with no apparent resolution but to incur repairs costs in excess of $10,000. The 8/6/17 incident too, dealt with the defective air suspension system which, this time, caused the rear wheel to fall off while the car was being driven. My wife and I incurred injuries, however, the dealer told me that this issue was not related. Just two days ago, the car's suspension system lighted up on the dashboard. Pictures were taken, I called the auto dealer, however, I have yet to hear from them. In reviewing filed complaints coupled with a class-action lawsuit, this is all to familiar, however, Chrysler and their dealers' refuse to acknowledge and fix this problem with the full support from Chrysler. Nhtsa needs to recall the 2011 Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee - outland edition - ASAP! time is of the essence!.
(np tire? )tl- the contact owns a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the front driver's side tire lost air quickly and abruptly. The contact pulled over and noticed that the valve stem on the tire had failed and fractured apart. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the valve stems on the vehicle had failed and needed to be replaced. The failure recurred one other time, with the rear driver's side tire. The contact spoke to world Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram 681 shrewsbury Ave, shrewsbury, NJ 07702 who stated that the contact should speak to goodyear, the tire manufacturer. The tire manufacturer stated that the contact should speak to the vehicle manufacturer as they were not responsible for the valve stems or rims. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, stated that they knew nothing about the matter, and provided the number to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 102,850.
