Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated while the brake pedal was depressed, the brake pedal went to the floor, and there was brake fluid was leaking from the front of the vehicle. The contact independently diagnosed that front passengers side brake line fractured. The front passenger and driver side brake lines was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000. Mf.
Consumer was driving after having the ball joints repaired on a recall. While driving home consumer was without brakes, she was able to stop the vehicle without incident. Vehicle was towed back to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the brake fluid leaked out and the brake caliper joint had worked itself loose. Vehicle was repaired.
