4 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 02/24/2016

On my 2004 Jeep Liberty I have had the lower front ball joints replace a few years back by the f23 recall. This week as I was replacing upper control arms, which come pre assembled with the ball joint, I noticed the boots for the lower ball joints were again damaged. I also noticed that there is a loud noise when going over unsmooth surface roads, etc. I am thinking this could be caused by the rear upper control arm. Now I'm not a professional mechanic, but common sense tells me that the engineering on the suspension has been compromised. I contacted Chrysler, who told me to contact a dealer, who told me they would get back to me on this problem. I also experienced multiple window regulator problems, along with recalls on the air bags system as well as gas tank protection recalls.

5 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2016

We have had the lower ball joints front replaced, the rear lower control arms replaced and now the rear upper control arms are corroded and showing stress cracks. In reading the other incidents it appears that the vehicle is not able to be controlled when the control arms fracture completely. No recall on this yet but there should be as the rear lower and upper control arms are both affected by the salt and inclement weather in minnesota. This is a hazard and should be replaced by the manufacturer to be a safe vehicle. The whole rear suspension sounds like it is about to disengage from the vehicle. 113,000 mileage. Our mechanic has repeatedly recommended replacing the upper control arms at the cost of $1200. 00.
