Hello, I have a Jeep Liberty 2002 4x4. I have been noticing a strong gas smell recently. The dealer found it's schrader valve leaking. I asked them to show me the problem. So, when they tried to start the car - the fuel was pouring from the schrader valve. I was shocked when I saw it. It's very dangerous. I was driving this car almost every day to go to work and sometimes with my whole family during the weekend. I feel lucky it didn't burn. The dealer said the whole fuel rail assembly need to be replaced, and the schrader valve can't be repaired alone! I really want to complain about this. I love my Jeep Liberty. But the schrader valve issue is a very serious problem and it could cause the fire, harm the life! also it does not make sense to me - why do you need to change the whole fuel rail assembly to fix a schrader valve? it looks is a design defect! thanks,.
