The engine on my 2016 Renegade with only 32000 miles on it began making a loud knocking sound while idling. After researching online, I determined it was most likely the radiator fan that had either come loose or was bent. It appears that this is an extremely common problem with this make and model due to the multiple online complaints. Of course it happens right past the original warrant expiration so that it is not covered. The cost to fix this was $620 and they had to replace my whole fan assembly.
My radiator fan is making a noise and I don't believe is functioning properly which is causing my Jeep to run hot. My engine smells like burned rubber underneath the hood. The noise occurs when my vehicle is idle.
My 2016 Jeep Renegade radiator fan assembly is shot. Stopped working when I was idling on my way home. It is almost $1000 to fix and I can not safely drive my vehicle. It is only two years old. It has 45k miles. Online there is a ton of people complaining about this same issue, particularly in the 2016 Jeeps. I want to urge you to investigate this car and company to do the right thing and cover the cost of the repairs.
The radiator fan is wobbling and causing a rattling noise. This is a known issue among other Renegade owners. It may catch on fire or rupture the radiator. It will certainly lead to overheating if it isn't replaced.
My electric radiator fan is wobbling at only 32,000 miles on the car and it's make a hitting noise from it.
My radiator fan went out at 50,000 miles therefore out of warranty. I had noticed a few times that I would hear a noise coming from the engine, I took it to the shop and they saw no issues. Fast forward 4 months and I was sitting in traffic and my car began to overheat. I was informed that this is an ongoing issue and that I should submit a complaint to hopefully get a recall on this as I paid a significant amount of money to fix it .
Radiator fan is loose and is making loud noises. Done research and have seen this is a very common problem with 2016 Jeep Renegade. It has now caused the check engine light to come on.
Radiator fan is failing at 20,000 miles not not keeping the radiator and engine cool. This occurs while driving and idling. Jeep has this part on back order with no eta. I was told that it could be weeks before the part arrives. I have been made aware that many other Jeep Renegade owners are experiencing this problem, as well as the long delay for the part to arrive. However, there is no recall that has been issued. I have a rental car that I am paying out of pocket for with no assistance from Jeep.
This car is eventually going to kill someone. The accelerator chooses when to work. My car has 35000 miles on it and when I am turning or on the highway or just driving normally, pressing down on the accelerator it has a two to three second delay before it will engage. The dealerships won't help me and it has almost caused me to get into numerous accidents with my three year old son in the car! many people are having the same issue. Also as of today I am having to replace the radiator fan for the third time. It has burned up twice before! how unfair to buy a new car and have to have these outrageous expenses and safety issues!!! this has to be fixed.
When I would get out of my vehicle with it on I could hear a raddling noise coming from the front of my Jeep. When I checked it out my radiator fan would wobbling when it spins. My Jeep only has 31,000 miles in it.
I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade that I bought brand new. It has 45,000 miles and when my girlfriend was driving to get some lunch from work and the car started overheating. Now I have realized the issue is that the radiator fan has stopped working. After doing some research I have learned that this is a nation wide problem effecting many people.
I bought this car a year a ago. It is still under warrenty. The radiator is messed up and car is over heated. It shows check engine light. But dealership is saying it could take them months . Why do not they recall all the cars??.
My Jeep Renegade began over heating due to the radiator fan failure. My vehicle isnunder warranty at 20,276 miles . The parts are backordered for months and am not being offered a loaner or getting true responses from Jeep only generic we are sorry for your struggles of being a family of 5 with different work schedules . Cheerand band etc. There must be a recall to save other owners with this issue and ones that will arise.
Radiator fan motor burned out. Cause the engine to over heat, created smoke condition and failure of all systems. Car needed to be towed to dealer. Parts are back ordered. Internet comments indicate this has become a common problem with this vehicle.
