Two problems related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch have been reported for the 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was cutting off while in 1st gear with parking brake on. Half an hour later, consumer heard a door bang, vehicle had hit house, and caught on fire. Consumer felt vehicle started on its own. Please provide any further information.
Consumer was pumping gas into vehicle and vehicle jumped out of park into reverse. Vehicle went down an incline, and hit another vehicle. Consumer states this has happened several times even with the emergency brake engaged.
