Three problems related to owners/service manual have been reported for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver's side door lock makes clicking noise, will only unlock/lock when done on inside manually or on the outside by key. Door switch and key fob both do not unlock/lock door when parked. The door does not auto-lock when the vehicle is in motion.
Jeep violently pops out of first gear when trying to accelerate l. Happens all the time. From doing research online this seems to be a common problem with people who own the manual transmission Jeep jk model. This can be exceptionally dangerous when going through intersections or changing lanes as the Jeep will pop out if gear and no longer accelerate. This has happened since day one of me purchasing it.
While driving the car the oil light came on but went off. I was on a narrow road and was about to pull off then lights started to flash and the clutch would not work I stopped and turned the car off but it would not stop. Then I tried to get out and the doors all locked on me. I got out and noticed what I first thought was a boiling radiator but when I went to lift the bonnet the car caught fire. It was gone in a matter of minutes. Jeep australia denied any cars had caught fire here and would not allow us to have forensics investigate. At 35,000 the clutch also had to be replaced which Jeep also said was because I did not know how to drive a manual I had been driving for 17 years. I know there have been other cars here in australia with the same problems I have had.
