2009 Jeep Wrangler. Consumer writes in regards to passenger airbag inflator recall has been repaired. The consumer stated the vehicle was repaired.
Takata recall (s43 / NHTSA 16v-352): I have been waiting several months for a replacement passenger side air bag inflator replacement and get no answers other than no parts are available. What action is the NHTSA taking against Chrysler/Jeep/mopar and takata on this? this is ridiculous that I am told that I should not have a passenger as this thing can fail. Is there any legal recourse than can be taken? bradley eleeson 7708 w. 67th st. Sioux falls, sd 57106.
Takata inflators: I receive warranties on the passenger airbag inflator and the airbag clock spring which was perfect because the light has been going on and off for some time. Now I'm being told this is not why the airbag light is on I am being told the driver side airbag has something wrong with it being able to deploy. Would this have anything to do with the clockspring? they are still replacing the recalled parts but my concern is why would this all of a sudden happen when there is issues with the air bags as it stands now?.
