The contact stated that the instrument panel failed to illuminate and remained blank. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

2 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the ld screen and instrument cluster were inoperable. The contact was unable to view critical safety information like the speedometer, warning lights, and the fuel gauge information. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 24v652000 (electrical system). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the system was reset. 3 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

Failure Date: 04/03/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the contact became aware that the instrument panel was dark. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the instrument cluster failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 4 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving the display screen went blank. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle lost power steering and was shaking. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle also failed to start. The vehicle was towed back to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

5 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

Failure Date: 01/06/2021

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission slammed into park(p). The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. In addition, the temperature gauge and fuel level gauge fluctuated. The traction control warning light activated and deactivated. The instrument cluster also activated and deactivated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that parts were not available to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
