Air conditioner quit cooling, found out new type of coolant eats the evaporator up and destroys it. My Jeep is only 4 years old. This is the second time the a/c has stopped working. The dealer service department (jim click) was no help. This Jeep has less than 20,000 miles on it.

Heater core failed three times first time core failed windshield was covered in hot antifreeze . Second heater core lasted one year leaking out onto rug and filling heater box win antifreeze . Third time core failed it sprayed scalding hot antifreeze on my 10 ten year old daughters leg. Third heater core was only seven months old. All of the heater core were own supplied from Jeep ,they are made off a very cheap aluminum and either crack or leak inthe same spot. This very expensive repair as the front seat ,dashboard. Air conditioning and electrical harness has to be removed . Jeep dealers charge between 1800. 00 to 2300. 00 to do this repair. At present time I will be paying 3 times in less than 2 years to have this repair done . At all times this failure occurred the vehicle was running and being driven . Two ofthe failures occurred at highway speed creating a very dangerous situation were vehicle had to driven with antifreeze spraying on windshield. And passager side floor until I could get vehicle off to side of road . If my daughter did not have on long pant and high boots she would have been severely burned.

Horn, wipers, wiper fluid, air conditioner, and tail lights will all randomly start going off, and not even shutting down the engine and removing the key stops it.

Got into the Jeep, started and placed into reverse, suddenly, without prior warning and randomly the horn starts going off, wiper fluid shooting out and the wipers going like crazy, air conditioner not working and radio blasting and going quiet. . Nothing you can do will make it stop, this will be a serious safety isssue if it happens when I am driving down the road. This makes it a problem to be driving this car, as you never know when the wipers and horn will start going crazy. I have read many posts that this could happen both when the vehicle is stationary and while driving. Why is this not a recall??? does someone have to die before Jeep concede this is a problem?.
The radiator cooling line rubbed against the air conditioning condenser, and the rubbing caused a hole which evacuated the a/c fluid. The fix was to replace the condenser and distance the radiator line so that it was no longer touching the condenser. The Jeep has never been in an accident, and it seems like this was a factory defect. The job costs over $700 at the Jeep dealership.

Brakes locked up in driveway after starting vechicle. Brake pedal was fully depressed with no assistance from driver. Vechicle take to dealer and probable cause was brake controller in rear floor area getting wet. Cause of water in vechicle is clogged air conditioner drain. The clogging of this drain is an ongoing situation with the manufacturer. The safety problem is that the vechicle is towed behind a motorhome and this requires a brake controller to be installed. The installation on this vechicle is on the rear floor behind the driver. If the unit were to get wet and the brakes lock up it could cause the motor home operator to lose control and/or cause severe damage to the motorhome or towed vechicle. The manufacturer is aware of the drain problem and has issued no safety warning regarding the placement of the brake controller. The vechicle in question is a favorite tow vechicle of many RV owners.

The heater worked great for 3 years, then it just broke 1 part at a time, now it blows antifreeze out the ducts and no heat at all, all the blend motors are broke all the flappers are broke the housing is warped the switch is broke, there is no heat at all it takes 3 days for someone with experience to fix it and the dealerships don't improve it they just replace parts with the same defective parts, this is a shame they wont redesign this heater or the parts and it will need a 2,000$ repair every 3 years, ps. The air conditioning is totally gone too,.
