I own a 2022 4xe, ater the 68c recall the power of the electric drive is limited. Frequent power loss occurs on highway driving during acceleration (merging onto highway or passing other cars). Despite the battery being charged up to 50% there is only 25% power available. The car is a plug in hybrid vehicle. The internal combustion engine starts in these cases with several seconds delay. During that time the vehicle does not accelerate sufficiently to safely merge onto a highway or pass other cars. The power loss happens without warning during critical drive situations like merging onto a highway or passing other cars. The driver expects a continuous level of power by the car, not a sudden power loss. This is reported by countless other drivers on all social media platforms as a consequence of the 68c recall that affects 350 000 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and grand cherokee 4xe. Jeep does not respond to customer complaints or requests for clarification. I would like to request all these cases be looked into, and also contacting Jeep for the new parameters put in place to protect the battery, such as battery temperature and power limits put in place to "protect" a hardware issue within a battery with software.

I went to start my Wrangler 4xe today and had a "service charging system" error. The gas part of the Jeep was running, so I proceeded to drive it. I noticed when I came to a stop, the car would not accelerate, then when it did it was violent and bucking. At a stop light it sounded like it was going to stall so I turned it off and then it would not turn back on at all. I finally got it to turn back on and drove it a little further, at one point I went to accelerate and had the pedal all the way to the floor and it would not advance. I brought it to auto zone and had a new 12v battery put in, but it did not fix the issue. After a quick search, it seems like this is a common problem with Jeep 4xe high voltage battery systems. Jeep has recalled the battery at least 3 times now and I've taken it for the first two recalls already. It was extremely distressing to try to accelerate and it not move, and could have seriously been a safety issue if I continued to drive the car. I was in another state, Jeep has no 24/7 service to call other than roadside assistance, so I had it towed to brubaker Jeep in lancaster PA, but I live in virginia and had to rent a car to get home.

My 2022 Jeep Wrangler is subject to NHTSA recall 26v363000 involving power steering wiring that may overheat and cause a vehicle fire. I was advised of the safety risk and informed that repair parts are not expected to be available until approximately August 2026. Due to the risk of fire, I do not feel safe keeping this vehicle at my home or parked near my residence until the recall repair is completed. The dealership has advised that no repair is currently available. I am requesting assistance from the manufacturer, including alternate transportation, a loaner vehicle, or other accommodations, until the safety defect can be repaired. I believe it is unreasonable to require owners to continue possessing a vehicle with a known fire risk while the recall remedy is unavailable for an extended period.
On 06/20/2026, the same day I leased this new 2026 Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon, at 29 miles it displayed a "power steering system hot - performance may be limited" warning followed by an "electric power steering fail" warning. The Jeep mobile app and an email from Jeep service both logged an electric power steering failure that day and stated continued operation with reduced steering assist could pose a safety risk and to contact a dealer as soon as possible. The failed system is the electric power steering; the vehicle is available for inspection on request. On 06/23/2026 the selling dealer confirmed the problem by factory scan, recording stored fault codes in the electric power steering module (c2129-16) and related steering/cluster modules (b11c1-13 and u1464-00), plus numerous low/under-voltage codes, with system voltage as low as ~7. 4v. The dealer characterized it only as "low battery voltage," reported no problem found, and performed no repair; their only action was to charge the 12v battery by driving, and the power steering connector was not inspected or replaced. The same "power steering system hot" warning reappeared within about 10 minutes of leaving the dealer after that visit, which I documented on video, confirming the problem was not resolved. The manufacturer has not yet inspected the vehicle. These symptoms match recall 26v363 and NHTSA investigation pe24024 concerning the electric hydraulic power steering pump connector overheating and causing fires, including while parked and off. This vehicle is a 2026, which appears to fall outside the currently published recall years (2021-2025); I am reporting it so a model-year 2026 incident is on record. The safety risks are loss of steering assist while driving and potential fire, including while parked and off. I park in a shared garage. No crash, fire, or injury has occurred. . . Yet.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Jeep started on fire and is still at a tow yard in belchertown, MA how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? the Jeep started on fire while I was driving. I pulled over as the engine was smoking and then it burst into flames while I was still inside. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? not that I know of. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? yes, we gave permission for our insurance agency and Jeep to inspect the burned out vehicle. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? while I was driving, the engine temp and coolant warning lights shot way up and then the engine began to smoke. I pulled over and before I could exit the vehicle, fire was coming into the cab through the air vents.
Enterprise rented me a Jeep Wrangler that was unsafe to drive and had a fire recall and then I had to drive it 148 miles to exchange it myself.

Stellantis (owner of Jeep) has issued an intent to recall a million or so Wranglers/gladiators starting next month. They have urged people to park away from structures and other cars. Living in suburban NY, relatively dense by most standards, and working in a place I park my car in a garage, this is near impossible therefore leaving my car a combustion risk, risking the lives and wellbeings of myself, my family, and my neighbors, along with my work associates. While this may work in rural areas such as peoria, this is not an acceptable solution for nyers such as myself. Furthermore, I purchased the car to be plugged in, and given this news, am urged to relinquish a very expensive feature I paid good money to use.

I own a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that my 19 year old son drives for college. While driving, the vehicle jerked and became sluggish. There were no warning lights illuminated. I became aware that the front brake rotors had overheated again. I had the front right brake caliber and brake line changed back in 2024 and the issue has recurred this year. I had a local mechanic change the front brake pads and rotors for both front tires and caliber to right front side only in April/2026 and the issue has started again today. The vehicle was taken back to local mechanic to be diagnosed again. He stated that the brake fluid was unable to properly bleed through the brake line restricting air to fully purge from the hydraulic system, which can result in incomplete bleeding, reduced braking performance, uneven pad wear, brake drag, or brake fade and is part of the reason for burning smell near right front tire. He added that car isn’t safe to drive in this condition due to safety concerns of accidents due to inability to properly brake or even a fire. Vehicle hasn’t been repaired due to cost and I will attempt to contact manufacturer. The initial mileage reading when this issue occurred in 2024 was 90,000 miles. The mileage as of this complaint is 112,392.
My vehicle is confirmed affected by three active NHTSA safety recalls, none of which currently have an available remedy: • NHTSA recall 25v741000 – high voltage battery may fail and cause fire. Issued October 2025. This is the third recall issued for this same underlying defect. I have been monitoring this recall since it was issued — now over eight months later — with no resolution. • NHTSA recall 25v710 (manufacturer recall a7c) – loss of motive power while driving. Issued October 2025. An interim backend policy update was implemented but does not constitute a full fix. • NHTSA recall 26v363000 – power steering wiring may catch fire. Issued June 2026. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a fire even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition off. No remedy currently available. As a result of recalls 25v741000 and 26v363000, Chrysler/fca has officially instructed me to park my vehicle outside and away from all structures at all times, and to refrain from charging my vehicle until a remedy is available. That charging restriction is a serious problem independent of the safety concerns. I specifically chose and leased the 4xe model for its plug-in hybrid capability and the fuel economy benefits it provides. I am now officially instructed not to charge it — meaning the vehicle cannot be used as intended or as it was represented to me at the time of lease signing. I have been unable to charge my vehicle for eight months, with no remedy available and no timeline provided. I do not feel safe driving this car. It can catch fire not only while parked, but also while driving. I am paying $500 per month for a vehicle that cannot operate as intended, poses active safety risks with no fix available, and has been in this condition for the majority of my lease term. The value I am receiving does not reflect the payments I am making.
Stellantis fca should be required to extend paint warranty due to bubbling on hood and hinges. There is a known issue but needs to expand out to layer model years. My vehicle has never been in an accident and if was a few months newer stellantis would’ve covered an 8200$ repair. Hood hinge paint replacement.

Still no remedy for the engine recall. Vehicle gives me issues. Currently will not start, can not move the vehicle away from my driveway. Has bunch of electrical errors.
* see list below for specifics - yes vehicle is available at mechanics location * 6 lane intersection - vehicle and myself were in center lane blocking traffic - made 911 call requesting officer since I was blocking traffic * see below for detailed description * no at this particular time, it is at the mechanic's shop for further investigation - shop was closed by the time the tow truck carried the Jeep to the drop off location * see below for detailed description within the last week the Jeep turned off on its own while sitting with the engine running in a parking spot, it also automatically slowed down to less than 25 mph unable to give it gas and then a warning came on about the sway bar being disconnected, the check engine light came on for a few days then turned off by it self, the last incident some of the following warning lights came on before the Jeep came to a stop on it's own while traveling approx 45 mph on a 6 lane street - serv 4wd, auto emergency braking unavailable, sway bar!, service electronic stability control, sway bar disconnect unavailable, forward collision warning off, adaptive cruise control fault, and as the Jeep cut off the warning light for the plug status fault warning came on. The vehicle has been towed to a mechanic and they will let me know the status of the Jeep once they have checked it out.
Shortly after a recall repair was completed, I experienced a sudden loss of motive power while driving approximately 45 mph on a public roadway. At the time of the incident, the vehicle had approximately half a tank of gasoline remaining. I observed the high-voltage battery gauge reach approximately 1% state of charge. Immediately after the battery gauge reached that level, the vehicle suddenly lost power and appeared to stall while in motion. I received no warning before the failure occurred. At the time of the event, a battery system failure warning appeared along with a plug icon on the dashboard. I was forced to pull off the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle had to be placed in park and restarted before it would operate again. Fortunately, there was a safe area available to pull over. Had this occurred in heavier traffic or where there was no safe shoulder, it could have created a serious safety hazard. I returned the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week but advised they could not duplicate the failure and could not identify a cause. I was told to keep the vehicle charged. My concern is that the incident occurred immediately after the battery gauge reached approximately 1% state of charge. Based on the timing of the event, I am concerned there may be a problem related to the transition from electric/hybrid operation to gasoline engine operation when the high-voltage battery reaches a very low state of charge. I am not claiming this is the cause, only that the timing appears significant. To my knowledge, the vehicle was kept charged during dealership testing, and I do not know whether the battery was allowed to reach the same low state of charge that existed when the failure occurred. A sudden loss of motive power while driving creates a significant safety risk, and I have not received a clear explanation for the cause of the failure or assurance that it will not happen again.
I have had several instances of the infotainment system freezing up after starting the Jeep and putting it into reverse. When this happens, the radio sound is replaced with a buzzing noise and the rear camera image becomes frozen. None of the radio controls work and putting the vehicle into park doesn't have any impact. The only resolution is to push and hold the power button until the system resets. This defeats the purpose of having a rear camera while reversing and puts the failure at the worst possible time (while backing up).
The vehicle has an issue where when it is off and the key is nowhere near it. It turns on and makes strange noises. I have video footage of it that has been sent to the dealership and they were not able to duplicate it after a very short period of time at the dealership I’ve since had the same issue numerous times as well as the battery has since died as well. I’ve had other issues happen where the vehicle has died with no warning, and I lost all power. The vehicle often times overheats where if you touched the vehicle in certain spots, it’s burning hot. The electrical system seems to have faulty in it as things like the temperature are never accurate and seem to have issues with glitching that has not been able to be duplicated although I have video proof of that as well. Considering all of the safety recalls that have never been remedied like the battery fires. There is no actual remedy that’s been done. All they do is scan the batteries currently to see if there are current issues happening, but there have been fires that have happened to people’s vehicle since with all of the issues that I’ve had with my vehicle with it powering on when the keys are nowhere near it. It’s very scary to have a vehicle that can catch fire with all of the electrical issues currently has that have never been corrected.
Went to start the Jeep and the entire dash cluster was out. I had just gotten it serviced 2 days before it went out and there was no warning or indication that the cluster panel was damaged. Due to this issue I’m unable to see any speed, gas levels, signaling, oil level and any other signal indicators from the dash. This is extremely problematic and renders the vehicle unsafe to drive. It was inspected by the dealership and another mechanic and both parties confirmed the dash cluster was broken and needed to be replaced and that several other 2019-2020 Jeep Wranglers had been brought in with the same problem.
With the recent completion of recalls 68&78c , and a new hv battery, appears to me, thatjeep has changed the software for the throttle response when in electric mode. The result creates a safety hazard as you lose pedal response and power when the battery reaches below 35% or about 9 miles remaining. On the highway the Jeep loses all power and will not accelerate over 62 mph. And the same around town when you need that extra umph, the pedal becomes dead. More scary when you’re on the highway!! the result? since the electric power output is unavailable, you have to mash the pedal to the flow to kick it out of electric mode. But this is also unsafe as now you start the engine (often cold as I was running electric mode) and you smash the rpm’s over 6k to launch the gas engine (that can’t be good for the engine long term) . Before battery replacement and recall software updates, this process was very smooth and occurred with 5% or less battery life. This had occurred a few times and could probably reproduce it when this scenario is present.
My 2013 rhd Jeep Wrangler is showing codes b1b02 and b1b06. I took it to jason lewis automotive in sparta TN yesterday. The airbag light is on and the horn does not work. These are the exact same failures identified in safety recall s40. The previous owner of my car got this done in 2021 but the remedy has failed and the safety risk is back. They confirmed that the clockspring is bad and needs replacing. The confirmed the codes and it matches the s40 recall.

The car which is barely driven, suddenly caught on fire while parked in my home driveway after sitting there for close to 8 hours. So the car wasn't in use at the time. It's completely gone.
The digital screen on my Jeep 2018 Wrangler went out and I took my car to the dealership to have them look at it they said that they cluster needs to be replaced I looked up the cluster and noticed that there is a recall on it for some 2018 Jeep Wranglers but mine was not part of the recall. I am trying to figure out why my is not part of the recall if they are now have to replace my cluster. There recall number that my Jeep is not a part of is NHTSA recall number 24v652. Can someone please explain why my VIN number is not included as I am having the same issue now.
I am reporting a recurring structural failure of the sky one-touch power top assembly on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Since August 28, 2024, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of 62 business days across seven separate repair attempts. Safety risk: the failure involves the tensioning system and internal springs of the power top. The defect has progressed to the point that visible daylight is present through the gaps between the roof assembly and the vehicle body while the top is fully closed. At highway speeds (55–70 mph), this gap causes the roof to lift and oscillate significantly. This creates a severe driver distraction and poses an unreasonable risk of the assembly further destabilizing or detaching from the vehicle while in motion, endangering occupants and trailing traffic. Dealer misconduct & repair history: during the third repair attempt, a service associate confirmed the loss of tension in the straps and springs. However, the technician subsequently refused to document these findings. The dealership omitted from their report to stellantis that they performed unauthorized 'readjustments' and 'screwed the assembly back in' to temporarily mask the defect. This deceptive reporting prevents an accurate warranty history and deliberately avoids lemon law accountability. Despite these 'fixes,' the structural seal remains compromised. The vehicle is currently unsafe for highway operation. ".
A recall repair was completed in 2023 related to an overheating warning. Recently, the same issue has returned. The engine cooling fan runs at a very high speed for several minutes and then shuts off, even when the vehicle is cold or operating under normal conditions. An overheating warning message appeared briefly while driving, but the temperature gauge remained within the normal range. This suggests the engine may not actually be overheating and that the issue may be related to a faulty sensor, electrical system, or control module. The problem has not yet been fully diagnosed by a dealer due to diagnostic costs, but the symptoms are consistent with the original issue that led to the recall repair. This condition could pose a safety risk because the driver may receive inaccurate overheating warnings or may not be alerted if a real overheating condition occurs. The issue is intermittent and has occurred both while driving and when the vehicle is stationary. Attempts were made to contact the manufacturer to report this as a repeat issue after a recall repair, but no resolution was provided and a formal case was not successfully established.
I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler rubicon 4xe (VIN: 1c4jjxr66pw627097). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired under warranty/customer satisfaction repair. However, the exact same problem has now returned. My vehicle is not currently included in recall 30b, but the symptoms are consistent with that recall involving instrument cluster failure. I am concerned that this defect may affect additional vehicles not currently covered. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and consider expanding recall 30b to include vehicles like mine. I have video evidence showing the dashboard shutting off while driving and will provide it as part of this complaint. Https://drive. Google. Com/drive/folders/1ab3nkolhpv66es_vrzsifkln83ezv5lc.
I was driving my truck on Saturday March 21,2026 and all of a sudden black smoke started pouring thru my heater vents. I could no longer steer the vehicle and I put into park shut it off and left the vehicle. After we got out we could see a fire under my Jeep. By the time the fire department got there my Jeep was a total loss.

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and I was trying to get it fixed but the dealership said it was the abs module and that they could not get one in because they are on back order because they warehouse that provides the chips for them burned down. I was then told that it is not promised to when they will be available and then they tried to turn around and ask me did I want to trade it in. So now I am stuck still paying for the Jeep and I can not drive it because of the abs module. I understand life happens but the manufacture should have called a recall or something because people are not going to be able to drive their vehicles but still have to pay for them and I am sure no one wants to start over on a new vehicle when they have paid so much on their current one.

Car would not start and would not charge. When Jeep shut off it would show the red plug symbol. Once it finally started, I noticed the engine light was on. It felt like it was going to stall so I couldn't come to a complete stop for very long if at all. If I did come to a complete stop and I was on a hill, it would start to roll backwards. When I would accelorate, it felt like it was stuck in 2nd gear, when I would take my foot off of the pedal it would continue to accelorate a few mph and then would finally slow down. At times it would not want to accelorate, even if you did have your foot all the way down. Did not want to reverse at times. Didnt feel like it wanted to go. The Jeep would not allow me to drive in e-save, or electric, even though the battery was 100% charged and had a half tank of gas. The Jeep would only drive in hybrid mode. We had the Jeep at the dealership for one of three recalls this Jeep was apart of. Ironically my Jeep did not start having issues until that specific recall was "fixed". If I were to continue to drive this Jeep, not only would I cause harm to other drivers around me, but my children and myself that drive in this vehicle on a daily basis. It has been at the dealership since Friday the 13th with no resolution.
Airbag/sos system failure - stated resistance on airbag was “above 8 ohms” this happened - and [xxx] emailed me three times in the first 30 days of ownership. Replaced steering column control module - but this may not resolve the issue. Am looking to have this lemon replaced - been having trouble with any real contact from Jeep/stellantis/fca information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
While driving on the highway, my Jeep completely shut off and I lost control of everything the staring and I have no clue why it just shut off. I’m worried if I drive it I could do this while I’m on the highway and the third lane and I may end up in a collision.

Vehicle communication failures. One point unable to start the vehicle. Then the wipers and all warning lights came on without being able to turn the vehile off. Had to disconnect both batteries while the wipers destroyed themselves on a dry windshield. This is also causing a service shifter warning light then total loss of power steering while driving down the road at any speed. This includes highway speeds. Dealer replaced power steering system with no resolution. Thousands of dollars in repair. Dealer stated they repaired wiring. Did not fix the issue. Now it is more intermittent. When the communication between modules is not functioning properly it disables the power steering even while driving. This is extremely dangerous and I can no longer trust my vehicle. There are thousands of reports and or reviews about this issue. Someone has to be held accountable. I have spent thousands and my dealer spent weeks trying to resolve the issue. Jeep has roughly 37000 miles. This is an on going issue since October of 2025.
My vehicle is experiencing ev system failures, stalling, and system shutdown warnings that make the vehicle unsafe to operate. These symptoms began after a recall repair that was performed by the dealership. The dealership initially stated the recall was repaired, but the same symptoms have continued and have now worsened. The vehicle will display ev system warnings and will stall or shut down systems while driving. The air conditioning and other systems also shut down as the vehicle attempts to protect the electrical system. I have brought the vehicle back to the dealership multiple times regarding this issue. Despite the vehicle showing the same symptoms associated with the recall, I am now being told I may have to pay for additional teardown work unrelated to the ev system. This vehicle has become unsafe to drive, and I have requested assistance and escalation from dealership management but have not received a resolution. I am filing this complaint due to the safety risk posed by the vehicle stalling and shutting down systems while in operation.
I purchased a used 2015 Jeep Wrangler from a dealership in new york. At the time of sale, the vehicle had an open urgent safety recall (19v-018) for a defective takata passenger airbag inflator. This recall was never disclosed to me by the dealership prior to or at the time of purchase. The recall advisory was noted on the nys inspection report conducted the same morning the vehicle was sold to me, but was not communicated to me in any way. I discovered the open recall after experiencing repeated mechanical failures following purchase. Four days after purchase the vehicle overheated and had to be towed — the coolant system was found to be completely empty. An independent licensed mechanic subsequently inspected the vehicle and stated on record that the mechanical defects appeared to be pre-existing conditions that existed prior to the sale. The vehicle currently has an unrepaired takata airbag inflator which the manufacturer has identified as capable of exploding and sending metal fragments into the vehicle interior at high speed, risking serious injury or death to occupants. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The recall remains unrepaired. The dealership was contacted and a manager verbally acknowledged they did not disclose the known defect prior to sale.
My 2018 Jeep Wrangler jl only now has 77,700 miles and got a blown head gasket!? this is so unacceptable! makes me regret ever purchasing! there is a ton more with same issue some with less miles and has been well maintained. Took to the dealer is who diagnosed and supposedly repaired due to a warranty that I am having to pay big money for! alos, uncalled for! took to dealer when aux light first appeared but then eventually the engine light came on and I took to dealer and that's when diagnosed this! very very upsetting as warranty should not have to cover not to mention, how do you stop from happening in another 70000 or less miles? Jeep needs to be responsible and step up big and do something regarding this problem that is there problem!.
