1 Front Seat Head Restraint problem of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 07/24/2019

The modern head restraint system is extremely uncomfortable for those who do not excessively recline their car seats. I personally desire mid and upper back support, especially during impact of a rear end collision. The protruding active head restraint makes proper back support impossible. These head restraint systems should be adjustable for those who use their car seats properly and do not recline them excessively.

3 Front Seat Head Restraint problem of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 02/03/2014

My wife and I purchased a used 2012 Jeep Wrangler from a nys authorized dealership . After the vehicle was brought home we noticed the head restraints on the front seats were not there . Figuring they might have been removed for cleaning , or service, I looked around in the vehicle for them . I did not find any . I called the dealership and asked if they forgot to attach them , and if they were at there dealership. After looking and asking around , they reported to me that the did not have any and that the Jeep was sold "as is" and the head rests were not included in the deal . I found this out after the deal was made and did not realize that the vehicle did not have them , and figured that this was mandated safety equipment and must be included by an authorized , licensed nys dealer . They have refused to supply them to me . Is this a violation ? do they have to supply them ? is this a safety issue ? what should I do ? thank you , gary machniak.

4 Front Seat Head Restraint problem of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/04/2010

I was rear ended and pushed into another vehicle. I was driving a Jeep four door and my head hit the head rest which is very hard. I have had headaches ever since and the seat belt locked down so tight that my shoulder has hurt ever since, no broken bones, but something is not right. I know for a fact the headrests need to be evaluated on their safety! I have an appointment with the Jeep place for another recall and that is when I am going to discuss the hard headrests again.
