Engine sound like its about to blow up, engine is knocking very loud, loud valves, and lack on power when you try accelerate, happens on a highway and they need to tow car home, it was my 3 kids in the car, and it was the most horrible experience. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
After receiving an regular maintenance oil change on 8/25/20 @3:42pm my vehicle started to turn off and on and loud knocking coming from the engine so I immediately turned around and went back to jiffy lube where I received the oil change and they performed a second oil change baffled as to why my vehicle was making the noise after the oil change after the 2 consecutive oil change the knocking was worse and they instructed me to go to a dealership ASAP. . . . As I was going to the closest dealership my vehicle stopped repeatedly on the highway my 5 year old grand daughter and I was terribly afraid people were honking their horns speeding past and my car stopped under a bridge turn about stopping traffic and it was very frightening and frustrating when I made it to the dealership the man told me that I would have to pay @ $140 to have the technician look at it and that they were closing at 5 so I called aaa to tow my vehicle home and I don't understand why this happened when I keep the maintenance on my car. . . Please help, thank you that was a very frightening experience for me and my grand daughter.
When I cold crank it the engines sound very very loud rattle and settles to a loud rattle after about getting warmed up with the engine vibrating which could also be seen. I took it in warmed up & the technician stated after a review, he didn't hear a rattle or a knock (thats a lie, I am going back again & review with the tech) I also hear a rattle from the left cv axle when the trac control comes to play, turning on a hard right & a thump when pulling hard on a wet pavement on a green light. This cold crank rattle cannot be heard on other Optimas when I ask to hear them start the other cars up. This is ridiculous this is a 30000 mile car & should be having a vibrating engine & a cold crank rattle or any rattle at all when warmed up, it should be smooth.
