Purchased vehicle in 5/2005. Returned to dealer in August at 3500 miles, for brake noise. Was told the rotors were warped from sitting on the lot before the sale of the vehicle. Rotors were turned. Noise stopped for a month or so. Dealer went out of business, went to another dealer because of loud noise from brakes, sounded like a large truck when stopping. Initially was told the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong, but after test driving it, they replaced pads. Noise stopped briefly, but then the vehicle was over the 12k warranty for the brakes. I've had the car at my mechanics shop twice. He said the rear brakes are very large for this car, and front brakes are tiny with cheap shoes. Brakes make noise all the time, and the car shutters when stopping at high speeds or going downhill. Problem still not resolved.
While driving at 55 mph there was a loud noise, like a motorcycle, coming from right brake on passenger's side. Dealer had inspected vehicle and could not duplicate or correct the problem.
