Frame And Members Problems of Kia Motor Sedona

The contact owns a 2008 kia Sedona. The contact stated that upon having a state safety inspection performed on the vehicle, the contact was informed by a mechanic that there was severe corrosion on the subframe of the vehicle. The inspector informed the contact that the vehicle might be under recall for the issue. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

2006 kia Sedona Mini van. It would make a loud bang, pop noise when the weight would shift right to left on the front end. Also when taking a left hand corner. It was in to kia of nasha multiple times for this noise. They could not resolve the issue. We decided to live with it for a while. The noise continued to get worse until we decided we had enough and took it to a local shop we trust. They report that our sub frame bushings and sub frame are completely shot, rotted out. He said we were lucky we brought it in because the engine was not held in on one side at all. It was completely gone. This is only a 5 year old Sedona with 80k miles on it! the engine could have dropped out or bottomed out on the highway causing a crash.

Sub frame bushings on my 2007 kia Sedona ,are according to my kia dealership "toast". Noise started at 70000 miles. They are not under warranty. This is way to early for this type of bushing to fail, under very average driving conditions. This should be a recall fix.
