Front Air Bag Sensor Control Problems of Kia Motor Sephia

While driving at any speed the advanced air bag warning light will inadvertently illuminate. This could cause the air bags to be inoperative. Dealership wa saware of the problem, but did not resolve it.

Consumer complained that instrument panel gauges worked intermittently. Abs light, air bag light and the engine check light illuminated while driving at any speed. Consumer stated, this problem started after a "service campaign " was done to the battery cable.

The contact owns a 1997 kia Sephia. The contact stated that the air bag light on the instrument panel remains illuminated. He does not know if the air bags are working properly. The dealer stated that there was nothing they could do, especially since his vehicle is not under warranty. The cost would be $750 to have the sensor repaired.
