Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit Problems of Kia Motor Soul

Had car 1 week - 204 miles. Power steering warning light came on while I was driving 55. Then the tire pressure light. Then all warning lights. Headlights and interior lighting off and on then finally just off. Pulled into parking lot where all systems stopped working. Was not enough power to close sun roof. No power door locks - had to operate manually. Car towed to dealer. Thankfully I am a strong person and was able to get off the highway and into a parking lot without incident. I am not sure how that happened since I did not even have working hazard lights.

The contact owns a 2014 kia Soul. While driving 40 mph, the headlights flickered on and off, switching from high beam to low beam. While driving 65 mph, the headlights shut off completely. The contact engaged the hazard lights in order to gain a source of lighting on the dark road. In addition, the contact smelled a faint burning odor inside the vehicle, which came from the headlights. Fort bend kia of rosenberg, texas was made aware of the failure, but did not have enough technicians available to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the failure was not included in a recall. The contact was provided with case number: 124-09-938. The failure mileage was 78,000.
