Turn Signal Problems of Kia Motor Soul

When driving with the need of headlights, they will flash/flicker off and back on again when using my turn signal primarily. I thought it was a one off when it happened once, but it has now happened more than once and I have found others online that have had the same problem. Thankfully it hasn't been on a busy highway, but it is on back roads that don't have much lighting.

While driving at night on the street and on the freeway, the headlights begun to flicker on and off when using the turn signal, and will turn off completely for a few seconds then turn back on. Also, the headlights will randomly flicker. I replaced the headlight bulbs but it did not resolve the issue.

My headlights have begun to flicker on and off while I am driving. Sometimes they do not turn on at all. This results in me driving for anywhere between 1 second and 15 seconds at night without lighting. The lights are disturbed when I try to use my brights or turn signal. The documentation is taken while parked in my driveway because I feel unsafe driving at night now with unreliable headlights. From an internet search I can see that many other kia owners are having the same issue.

The headlights on my 2014 kia Soul flicker when turned on. This mainly happens when I use the turn signals. This is definitely a safety issue and should be a recall remedied by kia. They are aware of the problem and have so far only issued a service bulletin. .

Headlights on the lights start flickering when I begin to pullout into the main street. Went to turn and had the turn signal on and headlights starts flickering again. Told my son he said it happened to him several times about a week ago.

When using the turn signal, the headlights will flicker or go off. In addition, all interior night lights and displays go black. This happens both while in motion and while stationary. The radio and speedometer do not go off so this is only noticeable at night but this is when the headlights are really needed. This has happened repeatedly.

Driving at night with head light on. Used turn signal and when turned corner, dash board lights started blinking on and off and head lights went off then back on two or three times. This has happened now three different times. It doesn't matter which way the blinkers are signaling, the lights in the dash flicker and the head lights go off and on.

While driving with daughter I used my turn signal on a busy hwy going 70mph to change lanes. The headlights, dash lights, and radio/clock all flickered and cut completely off. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on. The lights came back on but it occurred again. A few days went by and we were traveling to a nearby store and the same issue occurred and has kept occurring. I cannot just be trapped in my home afraid to be out after dark or travel with my child at night. This is a safety issue and kia should fix it. This is not normal wear and tear. It's dangerous! I cannot believe there is no recall for this issue. . .

While driving at night headlights will sometimes turn off for a second or 2, and also go off majority of times when using turn signals. This has been happening for a year now. The car has been to the kia dealership 2 times for this but no correction even attempted. Problem occurred on city street while turning.

2014 kia Soul redzone edition, the headlight will turn completely off for around 15 seconds and come back on. They will also flicker when trying to use the turn signal. This is very dangerous especially if you happen to be on a busy freeway and can't stop. Kia says they will not process under warranty if car is over 5 years and 60k miles. They need to have a recall on this, tons of people are having this happen to them with the 2014 kia Souls.

I purchased my 2014 kia Soul in 2015 and almost immediately had issues with the lights on the dashboard flickering and my headlights turning on at night. We took it under warranty to have them look at it and they couldn't find anything. I have periodically had the same issue but it's mostly the headlights flickering or dying while driving. . . In the dark. Just this week I was 20 minutes from home when it happened so bad I had to pull over. It seem like it may have been triggered by using the turn signal. It happened the next morning after a night of rest. I've seen this is a problem that was recalled in a different model and feel it should be a recap in all kia models.

Headlights have also flickered hitting bumps in road again causing unsafe driving conditions. I never know when this is going to happen - so it does cause some very nervous driving experiences. Headlights flicker on and off when using turn signal, sometimes while just driving. Sometimes they turn completely off and don't turn back on unless I flip between auto/manual. This has been happening for a few months now and is getting worse. This is incredibly dangerous and I am worried for my safety if I can't get them to turn back on. I work at night and absolutely need my lights to work. I drive main roads and back roads and on the back roads when they go out I can't see anything. Until I get this sorted out I've resorted to not using my turn signals at night, which is dangerous in itself/illegal and there's also the fact that they turn off/flicker occasionally while not using the turn signal. Though that seems to be the most common trigger. I have no idea what is causing this but it seems to be extremely common in 2014 kia Souls.

Headlights flicker on and off or turn off completely after using turn signal. Lights always flicker or turn off after turn is completed and the turn signal goes back to normal. Happens at every speed whether there is a bump in the road or not.

When using a turn signal with the headlights on, once the turn signal releases, the headlights will flicker and often go out completely. This happens in town, and at highway speeds. It is dangerous at night, when the headlights are necessary.

Headlights keep randomly flickering off and on while driving. Started out just when I had my lights on auto and had the turn signals on. Last night they went out on their own while I was driving down a dark road for several seconds. This is very dangerous and seems to be a common problem.

Headlights go out or flicker whenever I use turn signal when I'm stopped and put turn signal on or when I'm driving and put the turn signal on. I've only noticed this when driving on local roads, freeways in my area are well lit so I have no idea if this happens on the freeway when changing lanes.

Right turn signal always flickers during use. I change the turn signal bulb monthly but it never last more than a few days working if not at all. I have confirmed there is nothing wrong with the bulbs as I have checked the bulb with the left side.

Headlights randomly flash off and back on while driving. This seems to happen with the turn signal activated but also happens without. This can sometimes be corrected by turning the lights off then back on manually. All of this is quite dangerous while driving needless to say and should certainly be a recall item.

When I drive my Soul in the dark with my headlights on they start flickering and then they just go completely out. Sometimes it's small flickering and sometimes it is completely out and dont come back on for several seconds. Today I had to turn them off and back on twice before they would come back on at all. This is extremely dangerous when it is dark. Especially driving on a curvy 2 lane highway in the dark like I do. At first it happened when I used my turn signal, but now I dont have to do anything and they flicker and then go on and off.

Driving on freeway or street, interior and exterior lighting to headlamps flicker on and off when using turn signals. They will stay off sometimes this is dangerous.

When making a turn of changing lanes when turn signal is set once it resets all lights turn off or high beams flash turn on/off and have to move or play with turn signal handle for the lights to turn one again. Note while driving on freeway and changing lanes at night I set the turn signal to change lanes and when it reset all lights turned off leaving me driving in the dark and my family safety was at high risk. Something is wrong with turn signal handle causing a short, note that some times instead of lights turning off the high beams flash on/off.

Driver side headlights intermittent when using r turn signal, not working 90% of time. Problem started @ 45,000 miles. Dealer notified, couldn't repair due to not being able to replicate problem. Now at 73,000 miles, with no operable driver headlight.

I bought my 2014 kia Soul with 6 miles on it Nov 2013. I have had nothing but problem after problem with my headlights turning off when I use my turn signal or after using my turn signal. I have taken it to the dealership to have the same problem fixed. Finally big red sports & imports took a kia Soul off their car lot (after my 3rd trip there & they still didn't have the part) to put a new part in my car to fix the problem. I still had problems with my head lights so I took my kia to a different dealership. Now my car won't go into reverse at times,and while I'm "trying" to put it in reverse my automatic locks start locking an un-locking really fast. I have to turn my car off, and try to start all over so it will go into reverse. I have also already had to have the battery replaced. My worry is my safety when driving at night with my head lights wanting to work when they feel like it. Or if I get stranded somewhere because my car won't shift gears.

The vehicle's turn signals have stopped working for over 6 months now. It has been to the dealer numerous times and even after the repairs were completed, the signals continue to not work. They cannot seem to fix it. It is a safety issue while driving and I am concerned my daughter may get a ticket or have an accident because of it. The right taillight has also began to work intermittently over the last few weeks.
