: the contact stated one year ago the vehicle was taken to the dealership for an oil change , and an odor of gas appeared when the heater was switched on. The dealer discovered the fuel injectors were corroded and fuel was leaking from the injectors, fuel line, and the pressure regulator. And replaced. Them. The replacements were temporary because the problem recurred and the parts were on back order.
The contact stated the check engine light illuminated. A diagnostic test indicated it was the maximum airflow unit. The vehicle hesitated while driving at any speed. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer to determine the exact problem with the vehicle. Updated 12/7/2005.

Engine connectors c144 (throttle position sensor), c129 (mass air flow sensor) and c146 (idle speed actuator) lose circuit continuity with movement of the engine causing engine hesitation, loss of power and false "check engine light " indication on the instrument panel. Wiggling the appropriate connector restores continuity temporarily but it will recur again shortly within a day or two of operating the vehicle.
When accelerating vehicle hesitates and jerks forward. Dealer has inspected vehicle, and determined that problem was with fuel injection electrical system. Manufacturer will be notified.

I took car back to dealer today and they informed me that since the car does not leak each time car is started that if they cannot cause it to leak while at dealer, that I am out of luck. The representative was very rude and suspicious that I was not telling the truth about the leak. He stated that he would start every two hours and if it does not leak too bad!! I also noted the bad paint for the 3rd time and he laughed at me and said "I don't know what to tell you"! please advise!!.
