Assist Problems of Kia Motor Telluride

The driver screen are all blacked out, when I start my car in the morning, cannot see the speed, fuel gauge and all adas functions not working. Car is only a month old with only around 430 miles.

While driving on [xxx] the check engine light came on and engine started shaking and making abnormal noise. I was afraid to keep driving so requested a tow to bramlett kia in decatur, al. I told the service dept the issue as well as the issue listed below that I've been experiencing, and they told me it would be 3 weeks before they could even assess it as they are extremely backed up. I'm hoping the dealer service dept. Can reproduce the issue once they assess it. It has not been inspected by anyone else. I looked up my VIN # to make sure I had not missed a recall but there is no recall on my VIN #. Another issue I'm having is while using the lane keeping assistance the vehicle responds with the forward collision warning and brakes automatically when there is nothing in front of the vehicle. October 2024 before the main incident oct 2024, I started noticing slight changes in the way my kia was operating: - delayed response to accelerate when at a light - tire sensors/ crash collision sensors - lane assist pulling my off the road or into on coming traffic (random) - intermittent power loss while driving. - lights not working properly. - high beams failed to operate in sept and was told by burlington wa kia there was not a fix for the recall, while there for service/oil change. - car going into parking brake when not activated. - when stopped in car is in drive, when starting to accelerate the car went in reverse causing me to hit a stump and partially tearing front bumper off. About a week after that incident I was driving home from store and car started randomly pulling car into oncoming lane. Thankfully there was not a vehicle at that time. Car then started having weird fluctuations with speedometer and dash info. Went from 24. 7 miles to gal to 38 and kept jumping, experienced more instances of power loss while in drive. Then all of sudden dashboard went haywire. Whole dash lit up and was switching from different drive modes. I started noticing an electrical burning smell and smoke coming from hood. I pulled over not even a mile from home and started to pull everything important from vehicle. Think the car was on fire under the hood. After several minutes of accessing the situation and smoke dissipated, I decided to try and get car home. As I put car in drive it again went in reverse. I put car in park again and then drive and was able to proceed and limp car home. I parked car and took video of the dash light party and video of putting car in drive and it changing randomly. There still was an electrical burn smell on outside and in cab of vehicle. When my husband arrived home I tried to start vehicle to show him and it wouldn't start. So, he thought maybe the battery fried and took bat in to napa and bought a new battery.

I have a few issues: 1. I can be driving on an empty road and I get alerted that I am about to hit someone and it brakes on its own. With no one in sight in either direction. 2. My alarm keeps going off when I leave the vehicle due to motion being detected but no one is in the vehicle and it is locked. 3. My lane assistance has tried running me off the road multiple times. 4. When I park my car continues to rolls.

Since November 10th we have gotten this message at least 3 times while driving and a message showed up on the screen "check lane change assist function". It went away after a few minutes. Dealership was unable to duplicate so nothing was done. (see photo b and c).

The forward collision-avoidance assist, fca is the main component that failed on me numerous times before inevitably ending in a car accident. The car is currently with my insurance company statefarm, to assess the damage and to see if it was a total loss or not. They have had it since the accident that occurred back on August 20, 2022. The car had multiple electrical issues that unfortunately were temperamental as to when they would happen so because of that I started to take video on my phone when ever they did happen to show the dealership of the malfunction when it happened so they could see with their own eyes that there was a problem. I attempted to have the dealership fix it but the gm nicely said, "if it doesn't happen with us then it then it didn't really happen and we don't care if you have video or not! that's our policy so sorry about your luck!!!" it was the fca and the lane keeping assistance that were the 2 main parts that malfunctioned that risked my safety and the safety of others. The fca is what malfunctioned during the accident. It would randomly slam on the brakes as if I was about to hit something and the lights would flash and the beeping would sound each time it did this even though there was nothing around me. The other times it had done this to me prior it would only happen 1 time and then it would go back to normal but the date of the accident it continued to malfunction over and over again. There were sensors broken on the car from the moment I drove it off the lot back in April of 2022 and have had replaced. The fca had been malfunctioning since early June and I first reported it to kia back on June 22nd 2022. Kia just sent me a letter confirming the fca does malfunction but its to late now! I have so much more to report but not enough space to tell you everything! they could of helped me when I showed them proof but they didn't care. Their negligence risked my life and my children's lives!!!.
