Blind Spot Detection Problems of Kia Motor Telluride

1. Instrument panel failure, can’t see speed, fuel, mileage. Blind spot warning does not work, lane assistance does not work. This issue was not solved by recall related to software update. 2. Unsafe to drive with no way to see speed, blind spot warning failure, can’t tell if blinker is on or how much gas is in car. 3. Dealer reproduced. It’s not a sporadic issue, the panel does not turn on 4. Yes kia dealership inspected 5. No warning. Turned the car on and the panel no longer worked.

While driving and/or starting the car, the power steering will go out, along with all safety lights/messages on dash, including check power steering, check forward collision sensor, check awd, check blind spot sensor, check parking sensor, etc. Only sometimes will turning the car on and off reset the sensor. Other times the car will start and all lights will illuminate and the power steering will not work. Happens intermittently, including while driving. Dealer and mfr have been unable to fix the issue due to the randomness. Additionally they have been able to see the lights malfunction, but the first attempt at repair did not address the issue. Car continues to lose power steering intermittently. Car is inoperable without power steering given the weight.

Software malfunction left the primary dashboard and all associated systems inoperable and in an unresposive state.

Gauge cluster is completely black. I am unable to tell the speed I am going, see how much gas I have or use features like the blind spot detection.

Instrument cluster went black. No sensors when changing lanes can't tell mph, fuel levels. Car said I was driving the wrong direction.

Upon starting car, display control cluster was black. No visibility of speedometer, turn signals, or any other vehicle control are visible. Restarting vehicle did not correct issue.

The drivers screen has gone black and the odometer, speedometer, gas guage won't work. The odometer has been stuck at 5570 according to the app since the event even though I was able to drive to and from work that same day. The blind spot warnings are not working and either is the navigation. The light for the shift is also not working. The car is only 5 months old.

Vehicle has 6k miles. Upon starting for the evening commute, dashboard is blank screen - will not give speedometer, odometer readings or fuel levels. Other lights on gearshifter not working. Gps not reading correctly. Blind spot detection not functioning. Can get the screen to display the brightness indicator, but that refuses to leave the display, even when car turned off - assumedly a drain on the battery. This left us unable to identify our speed or how much fuel we had. The dealership indicated that this problem was seen in 2022 Tellurides and was typically fixed by a reset + system update. The dealership did fix the problem, but not sure of what the root cause is.

The car has a surround view monitor that turns off at 7 miles instread of the 9 miles advertised. The monitor is designed to help with parking and show a 3d view. Helps with parking assistance.

The instrument cluster periodically stops working. The speedometer and tachometer stop working, and all warning lights flash on and off randomly. It shows the doors and hoods opening and closing on the display as well along with other warning lights. The cruse control fails to operate as does the front/side crash warning systems. . . . These warning lights also come on. This is an intermittent problem, it will persist for days and then will stop for part of a day, or multiple days and then return again.

After 3 months, vehicle started showing intermittent warnings at startup related to multiple collision warning systems-- forward collision, blindspot sensors, rear cross traffic. Over a few weeks, it was no longer intermittent and occurred every time. Multiple acd systems wouldn't function due to blind spot sensor failures. Multiple repair attempts and issue occurred again and dealer has been unable to repair.

2022 Telluride is undriveable due to safety alarms/warnings. The vehicle was towed to the dealership where it was purchased (findlay kia). It's been 19 days and they have not been unable to find the cause and correct the safety alarms/warnings. Alarms/warnings: master warning electric power steering awd system warning forward collision avoidance assist high beam assist blind spot collision avoidance assist Smart cruise system warning lane keep assist.

Had a new transmission installed in February 2022. Now, beginning March 13, warning lights come on to check blind spot and forward collision systems. About 10 seconds after the car lurches violently. This has happened at full speed on interstate which is a huge risk for injury/death. I have video of this phenomenon.

The blind spot warning light doesn't work all the time. I have read through the kia owners manual and couldn't find an explanation for the malfunction. I have tested in local and highway driving both low and high speed during good days and nights. Warning only comes up sometimes, then stops and comes back only after vehicle restart, then repeats the issue.

I leased this vehicle brand new in 2023 within a month my screen with my speedometer went black and I had called the dealership and they told me to unhook the neutral on my battery to reset the computer, it did work. And then anytime it rained got cold snowed or the roads were wet all my accident on avoided systems would say there's a problem and they would be disabled. I text the sales manager several times so between that and me having to unhook the neutral in the battery to reset my speedometer I was getting a little upset I took it to the dealership and they said there's no trouble codes and I said exactly because I unhooked the neutral which clears the trouble codes they had it for over a week and put 300 mi on it and told me they couldn't find anything wrong and because there was no trouble codes kia would not do anything about it. I had it down there again for a recall told the service manager and he said just think of it this way it's like having your truck back where you didn't have all those when it goes out and laughed. I had emailed kia corporate several times and they said I needed to take it to the dealer and the dealer said there's nothing they could do because there's no error codes but even this morning January 20th 2026 on my way to work no snow rain or anything and everything shut down again. The dealer sells manager has many text messages with the images of my dashboard and the warning lights. It just amazes me how the dealer in state college blames kia and kia tells me to have the dealer look at it because I've only had it there once which is absolutely not true I had it there a few times discussing it but because one was a recall and the other was an oil change they're not counting that.
