Takata recall. Lexus sent out letter earlier this year and put me in the first round of "priority" recall replacement group. Letter also states that recall would be done by the end of 2016 for my group. Thus far I have not heard from Lexus, and when I reached out they said remedy is still not available. I have not been able to seat anyone in my front passenger side which is causing a lot of inconvenience to my daily life.

My wife has taken such good care of this car and always goes to the dealer when it needs work, except for oil changes which she goes to goodyear for. I had gotten tired of the recall for the dash and door panels recall and thought she had waited long enough since she was on the list and it seemed they were trying to "out wait" us until the car was sold or something. When I called Lexus headquarters, the lady was nice but mentioned it had a recall for the passenger airbag and said no one should sit in the passenger seat. I am appalled at the unprofessional way this was made public to us. It was supposed to be a notice in the mail which we never got. I sat in that seat many times, as well as other friends and family. For a problem this serious, which could result in death, I have lost faith in Lexus. They have become like all the other dealerships. I had thought it was the best vehicle made, period. Now that has changed. We were told to get a rental car for $35 maximum a day. What kind of deal is that? get a crappy small rental car for a year or more after driving a luxury vehicle? I personally have a mustang, and when we are tired of waiting or they fix the car and it gets old, I am getting my wife an american car to support our economy. Enough is enough, period.

I just had my 1st child and I want to know when my airbag problem will be fixed.
Tamara recall. I feel that they are doing nothing to resolve this problem. I received this notice in may of 2016 and it is now October 2016 . Why don't they just replace the air bag with a different one. Remove the defective one not send a notice not to use your car. I have a child and he sits in the passenger seat and if anything were to happen to him because of the lack of response to the recall . I will take legal action especially hearing about the lady who just recently died regarding these airbags. I keep asking Lexus on when they are going to fix the problem and they said next year (2017) sometime. Why is it that our safety is not a priority. But they sure are in a rush to sell you a car. I bought my car to use it not sit at home to look pretty and stay parked because that's the advice they are giving us. How hard is it to replace 1 airbag . Accidents happen every day and no one knows when they will be involved in one. I work really far from home and I am scared to drive my car knowing that at anytime my airbag car deploy on its own or in fear of being involved in an accident that will cause my air bag to deploy.

I am highly concerned and worried about this passenger airbag recall. When asked Lexus about the remedy, I was told that the remedy would not be available until December of 2016. This seems unreasonable. Also does this recall affect the driver's side? it seems unclear as the reports showed that those who were affected by the degraded airbags were in the driver's side. Can someone please look into this? thank you.
The panel that covers the driver side front air bag pops off repeatedly. Car has been back to the Lexus dealer (bredemann of glenview, IL) at least a half-dozen times without a satisfactory fix. While this appears to be a cosmetic problem, my concern is there is a deeper issue that could affect the air bag as well and I do not want to be driving the car when the air bag suddenly pops. Bredemann Lexus has been unable to solve the problem and the general manager of the dealership has not returned a phone call. The date listed below is merely the last time the car was in for service which failed to fix the problem.

Takata recall.
Takata recall - Lexus stated there is no time frame for a remedy and the manufacturer is trying to go bankrupt to avoid fixing the problem. They said it could be a couple of years at least until there is a remedy.

Takata recall - we are in zone a . Received recall notice advising no person should sit in passenger seat due to risk of injury or death. . Contacted dealer and Lexus (CA) told the "fix" will likely not be available until early 2017. Would like to sell the car. . But can't sell until airbag defect is repaired; we are unable to use the car until the defect is repaired. . .
Received notice from Lexus that until a remedy becomes available that I do not operate the car with a front passenger. Furthermore, that if I feel that Lexus has failed to remedy the defect in a reasonable time, to file a complaint. The reasonable amount of time in this case is, in my opinion, immediate. Hence, the reason and purpose of this complaint. There has been no problem thus far.

Takata recall-I was notified of the takata recall on my is 250 year 2010 back in July. I contacted the dealer the same day and was put on a waiting list. I followed up with them multiple times to see when the parts would be in inventory and they kept saying soon. Did not apologize for any inconveniences at any time. This recall has also been reported to my insurance company therefore limiting the 100% use of my car. I was contacted Monday March 20, 2017 (9 months later) that finally the parts have arrived. This is terrible consumer satisfaction and consumer quality. Basically I purchased a 4 passenger car, to only really only have 3 passengers for almost a year. I used to be part of a carpool and no longer can which adds more mileage to my car. I was never offered a loaner car from the dealer and was told that the parts had to be manufactured which was why it took over 6 months. I would love to be part of any class action lawsuit or contacted for more information if needed about how this has affected day to day activities.
