Car accident with full left side impaction door will not open doors will not open and I was not able to move out of my seat and yet I was stuck behind the steering wheel behind smashed impacted buckled, steering wheel did not deploy the airbags.

While driving in the evening, on a slightly winding, smooth, gravel road at about 30 to 35 mph, temperature about 34 degrees f, the airbag in the passenger seat deployed. There was not any form or type of collision. During the time I have had the car, about 2 years, there has not been any form of collision damage, as far as I know there was not any prior history of any type of collision damage. There was an occupant in the seat, his shoulder felt sore and his hearing was affected at the time.

The contact owns a 2005 Lincoln Ls. While driving 45 mph, the front driver side curtain air bags deployed without warning or impact. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

On two occasions my car suspension had failed. I am just lucky I was not on the highway or I could have been fatally wounded. I can not believe I never received any notices about the suspension recall. The first instance I was driving in my driveway and the car completely dropped down on the tires and could not move the vehicle. The second instance I was driving and the suspension fell on a regular road not a fast highway. It had cost me $250. 00 to have it towed both times because it could not be moved by driving. In addition the second failure cost me $175. 00 because the front tires were ruined. For the repair work on both instances cost me $125. 00 each time totaling another $250. 00 . So because of someone's failure to tighten nuts it cost me $675. 00 , and not to mention the risk of losing my life. Terrifying to say the least.

There is a preventitive air bag recall for my vehical.

Hi I'm making this complaint on behalf of my mom she just purchased her car that doesn't have an airbag without signing a disclosure form and the transmission is totally running down and not being informed of this she went ahead and bought the car unaware of any of this.

While driving 5 mph on a driveway, the passenger ceiling air bag deployed from the front seat to the back seat. The car didn't hit anything. Passenger was injured.

Was driving down the highway at 70mph and the passenger side seat air bag deployed for no reason.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician diagnosed that the clock spring was defective and needed to be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 135,600 and the current mileage was 136,000.

I was driving on the freeway when I heard a loud sound like a gunshot and white somke everywhere. I turn to the right where my cousin was sitting and think its one of my tires that blew out. So I pull over to find out that my passanger seat airbag deployed for no reason. My cousin was very hurt his shoulder was swollen and is in pain due to the airbag. I almost crashed as well.

Driver side curtain air bag deployed for no apparent reason. Travelling east on I-94, in milwaukee, WI, about 9200 east. Conditions: 12:45 pm, 37 degrees, light rain. We had been driving about 20 minutes. Engine was completely warm. No alcohol was involved. Driver suffered a shoulder injury from the force of the airbag, but refused treatment. Driver managed to retain control and pulled over on the right berm. He inspected exterior of vehicle. There was no indication of anything hitting the car. He then continued to drive home without incident.

My 2002 Lincoln Ls v8 has broken down in numerous ways. All ignition coils have had to be replaced, two window motors, airbag connector clip, my tie rod ends are bad, my car has actually shut off completely while driving up the 15 north three times while my son was in the car with me and now my transmission has completely stopped working. When it came to fixing the airbag connector problem Lincoln told me it was fixed and I went to pick up my car and it was still doing the same thing the three beeps so they fixed it for free and then told me my instrument panel on one side was burned out but the lights seems to work on it when I turn them on. They wanted to charge me 800 dollars for that but I refused. The ignition coil replacement was roughly 1000 dollars and I am waiting on my estimate for my transmission. Both window motors were 200 dollars a piece. I have had numerous taillights replaced and actually had a door lock jam closed on me. I truly feel that this car is a safety hazard for me and my son if it turns completely off at 65 miles an hour on a freeway with my son in the car.

All front airbags and all seatbelts have automatically disengaged and do not work. I have taken the car to three dealerships and was told it would cost me approximately $1,000 for "exploratory" searches to see if it is the module to the airbag. I contacted Ford as I felt this should be a safety failure in the car and not a consumer related incident. I was told that Ford was not responsible for airbag failure issues and that Ford would not cover the charges or pay to have the airbags fixed. The airbags are inoperable.

Airbag clock spring went bad on the 2001 Lincoln Ls this clock spring controls the srs system. I do not think it should be the car owners problem to pay for this part if it goes bad and should be a recall on this part.

This has been a continuing saga. Started approximately date below but ongoing and more being added. Have had to replace all window assemblies due to complete failure where glass fell without warning. Drivers front ball joint, clock spring ( no horn, radio, cruise control or air bag) problems with air conditioning. Trunk lining continually coming down, paint clear coat, splotches, looks terrible.

I was traveling in my 2001 Lincoln Ls when I was struck by another vehicle resulting in my vehicle rolling laterally and also end over end. My car sustained a frontal impact severe enough to result in the structural steel bumper being split in two and the transmission oil cooler, radiator and air-conditioning condenser and associated radiator wall being smashed against the front of the engine. The vehicle is completely destroyed suffering significant damage to all sides of the car excluding the trunk lid, but including the severance of several parts including the right front wheel. The roof of the vehicle has been altered stemming from landing on it, affecting the a and b pillars of the vehicle and buckling the roof itself. I have photos of the vehicle and the physical address of the remains of the car should someone choose to see it.

My car has numerous parts that tear up repeatedly, within a 6 months time. Valve cover gasket had replaced twice within a 6 months time. The coil packs go up very often. I had panel buttons just tear up for no reason three times! wheel caps replaced numerous times. Overheating issues, door locking issues, battery replaced twice within 2 years time. Ac issues, (I never used my ac. . At all) . This car has a lot of problems on the t. S. Bulletin. I contacted Ford in reference to the multiple issues I was having with the car, the company representatives told me to take the complaint to the establishment of which I had been dealing with. Then they said Lincoln is an independent owned establishment so I am totally confused by this whole ordeal, they know that they have had a lot of multiple problems out of that car. And they refuse to recall some of those (as I would say) hazardous issues. I was at the dealer 2 weeks ago, I was conversing with a rep. At the dealership and he was telling me how the Lincoln Ls was their most problem vehicle, and cash maker for repairs. (OH by the way. . . . . . . I researched to find this site. To answer the question in the consumer section).

Driver's air bag deployed inadvertently while driving 80 mph on the freeway. Consumer insisted that the vehicle did not run over anything while driving. The dealer was notified.

Without any warning or cause air bag under the passenger seat inadvertently deployed while driving 60-70 mph. No injuries were reported. The dealer / manufacturer were not notified.

Smell of something burning - going to the dealership today. Headlight covers collect moisture. Airback light on - was quoted approximately $500 to fix. Driver side door does not open from inside - $85 to determine that the latch is worn off & again an estimate for $850 to fix the handle. Three out of the four power windows dropped down & had to be fixed in the last two years. Both the driver and the passenger seatbacks have fallen off. Driver seat makes noise when going/sliding back. On two seperate occasions I was unable to apply the brake when coming to a stop - car kept on rolling & I could not press the brake. Loud noise when accelerating between 45-55mph which I was told is "normal".

While driving 50 mph driver's rear seat air bag deployed inadvertently for no known reason. No damage was reported. Vehicle was driven to the dealer.

Vehicle had electrical problems, gearshift panel lights went out/ back up light were not working. Consumer was involved in an accident, while driving the vehicle drifted across the center lane and sideswiped 2 vehicles, there were no injuries, however there was property damage, consumer feels this is related to recall 00v359001, prior to the accident, consumer had alignment issues with vehicle and had the lower ball joint replaced. Clock spring was replaced and dealer had to reposition a dropped air bag.

While driving about 5 mph vehicle swerved across center lane, and side swiped oncoming truck. Damage was $ 7200. After vehicle was repaired steering wheel was off center, about 45 degrees. Dealer then aligned front end. 2 weeks later, wheel went off center oi other direction by 45 degrees. Dealer then found one lower ball joint missing. And said there was a recall on that component. Consumer did not get recall letter , daler checked VIN, and this vehicle was not affected. After repair was done, repair bill stated lower ball joint was loose, not missing. Then wheel was making a clicking sound when turning. Dealer then replaced clock spring assembly and reset airbag. Consumer felt incident was caused by missing ball joint.

Air bag monitor was replaced;not working;reports of other Ls's w/ problem.
