Engine Failure Problems of Lincoln LS

I just bought this car from a used dealer last month haven't driven 6 times yet and now this month it is stalling out we thought it was the fuel filter so we replaced that but now I tried driving it again and I got an error message saying "etc engine failure safe mode" the CA then began slowing down and I was unable to accelerate my speed. The car was also jerking as if it would cut off so.

My 2004 Lincoln Ls has never been in an accident. Approximately 60 days ago my "check engine" light came on after getting bad gas. Was able to reset by removing the battery and reinstalling. No engine light on all the time. No acceleration, and today got etc engine failure mode. Stopped car, restarted and would then go more than the 15 mph in "failure mode". But still doesn't accelerate like it should.

(1) driving on a two lane curvy mountainous road passing a logging truck. (2) car engine failed resulting in no power, no stearing control and no brakes. There was no prior warning such as lights or messages on the instrument console. The logging truck narrowly missed us as did the oncoming traffic. We were very close to being killed or seriously injured. (3) the failure was the engine mass air flow (maf) sensor resulting in shut down of the engine.

2002 Lincoln Ls experiences sporadic engine failure. The vehicle has stalled at low and high speeds. I have spoke to two separate representatives form Ford. They have acknowledged that the problem exists and as of this date they have no repair available. I was told that the problem is with a computer program.

Making a soft right turn at speed of 10mph, engine failed, shifted into n to restart the vehicle while moving without power steering, rear-ended a front vehicle. Engine started without a problem and hasnt happened since. Damage to front vehicle was at $310. Damage to Ls was at $960.
