Hi I was wondering the inside pass. Door handle we went to open it and the handle broke in half, well for 1 cant believe it was made of cheap plastic for the price you pay for the truck and 2 what would happen if there was an accident and the handle broke etc.

: the contact stated the check engine light illuminated, the vehicle trembled and gears would not change when the speed reached 40 mph. There was also an electrical burning smell that accompanied the shaking. Once the vehicle reached 75 mph, the shaking stopped. However, when the speed was lowered, the shaking began again. The vehicle was taken to a private repair shop, where they were unable to duplicate the problem. The contact also stated that both rear doors will not open correctly. Although the child locks have been deactivated, the doors still will not open from the inside of the vehicle. The doors were not inspected by a mechanic.

Ltr from senator hutchison on behalf of constituent, re problems with her 2005 Lincoln Navigator. The consumer stated there was a noise coming from the engine. The front end vibrated constantly. The consumer was informed the track bar and cad mount bushings needed to be replaced to correct the vibrating. The sunroof leaked, the cd changer scratched the cd's, the drivers seat was repaired 3 times, the tire pressure sensor didn't work, the remote start did not work, the transmission was slipping, the rear windows were grinding, the drivers side door would not open, the mirror would not adjust and the wipers were replaced. The consumer stated after two years of being told there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, it finally broke down and the dealer had to perform major engine work. After the engine work was completed the consumer stated the engine continued to make noise and there was also hesitation problems. Updated 03/01/10.

The passanger door locked and will not open, it just happen all of a sudden we cant unlock the door with the key, power locks or alarm switch. This was really alarming to me and my family suppose, we had been in a roll over accident and had not been able to get out of the truck.
Door rattles and wind noise occurs when driving at hoghway rated speed. This is the same issue as complaint#'s: 10062258,10005562,10028646.
2003 Lincoln Navigator - loose front door trim panels - rattles occurs at speeds greater that 50 mph. Dealer inspected panels, but insisted that loose panels were normal conditions. Symptom identical to NHTSA complaint number 10005562.
Excessive wind noise in cab. Reported at least three times to dealer. On third complaint, told by dealer that "this is a characteristic of this truck".
Rattles in both front door trim panels - occurs at speeds greater than 45-50 mph. Have had vehicle unsuccessfully in for repairs four times. Have replaced door panels without resolution of problem. Latest service date is listed below.
While traveling on highway there is a loud knocking noise coming from underneath the vehicle, dealership is aware of problem, dealer check vehicle codes and found that low octane fuel was causing the noise while driving, both passenger door seals loose.

Problems with fuel pump, windshield wipers, driver's seat, brakes, air conditioner, gear shift, air bag, cd player, window motors, driver's handle door, sunroof. Ph. Also the fuel pump, trailer hitch, the lighter ejected to the floor ,the ignition was loose and there was an electrical short in the windows. .
