A puddle apeared under pass. Side of vehicle,took it to dealer ,they found the plastic intake had cracked where the heater hose connects to the intake,was told :"no warrenty on plastic intakes ", vehicle is 10 yrs old,2000 Lincoln Town Car,never recived any information about a class action lawsuit,replacement cost is $1100. 00 from the dealer ,they told me there is a 1 yr warrenty on replacement part.

Upon starting the vehicle it sounded as if a rod was being thrown. The consumer took the vehicle to the repair shop and they tried starting the vehicle again, but the same thing occurred. The mechanic told the consumer to shut the vehicle off. Suddenly the oil pressure dropped. The engine spun the bearing and there was a rattle in the engine area.

While driving 30-60 mph the vehicle would surge continuously when the engine was under load. As a result the vehicle did not ride smoothly. Dealership was notified but did not resolve the problem. The dealer changer the erg valve, fuel pump, fuel sensors, spark plugs and coil but the problem still occurred.

Car was driven at various speeds and the vehicle just cut off. It was easily started right back up, and the dealer was contacted two times and cannot duplicate the problem.
