My car started to shake and have a burning smell and when I took the car in they said that wires were misplaced by another Mazda dealership I took it to about 8 months before. I then called back about a moth later and told them that my car jerks when it shifts gears. At that time they said that I just have slippage and may just need to add some transmission fluid . I did that and it seemed to help until last week when I was driving and stopped at a stop light and when it was time to go my car would not move. The rpm meter went into the red but my mph remained at 0. I had it towed to the dealership then they told me my transmission was gone and that it would be 3700 to repair. More than what the car is actually worth in good condition.
While driving the overdrive light flashed on the dashboard, and vehicle started shaking uncontrollably. Consumer noticed smoke coming from the hood. Consumer was able to pull over, and had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic determined that transmission needed to be replaced due to worn out parts.
Passengers side rear axle needed to be repaired because it was cracked. Vehicle would shake when driven at 60 mph or faster. Dealer had been contacted for this problem, and informed consumer that drivers side axle needed to be changed. Dealer has replaced drivers side, but consumer was having same problem. Dealer had informed consumer that passengers side axle needed to be replaced. Consumer also stated she was having problems with the transmission stalling, vehicle back firing, trembling/shaking and also steering from left to right, consumer was informed that the problem was the tires that there was not enough tire pressure, however the problem still persisted until she was finally told that the axle needed to be replaced.
