My 2010 glk 350 4matic first while taking my daughter to school one day my dashboard lights up and start making a alert sound ,my dashboards reads steering wheel malfunction/abs/ebs brake inoperative. Had it diagnosed and service tech couldn't find the problem related to this . He try to get me to fix my sterring wheel pump and coolant fan!! idk I didn't let the device tech do any work . I saw on you tube how to do a left right sterring wheel and the service code disappeared it been two weeks and it hasn't came on all. Now I got another service code srs airbag 2 malfunction/inoperative!! . When car is on it shows that air bag 2 isn't on !! this has to be a manufacturer error since not even the service tech knew what exactly trigger this to show on my dashboard.

I have been getting notices regarding this recall since I purchased this vehicle. I call and call and they tell me no remedy yet !?!? I have had so much anxiety over this issue. . Myself and many of my loved ones, including my husband, parents and children, ride in this vehicle and the warnings I receive say this malfunction may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. And yet no remedy!!! I do not want to be writing this after a fatal accident occurs! please tell me how you are going to remedy this this situation and soon!!!! I am having an emotionally diffucult time being in the vehicle and cannot stop thinking that I am in a vehicle that could kill me!.

Takata recall. I have been waiting over 3 years for the defective airbags in my vehicle to be replaced. This is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for the repair of such a dangerous safety problem. Though takata made the defective airbag, Mercedes Benz sold the vehicle and should be accountable for repairing the defect in a reasonable amount of time. That time has already passed. In a recent letter mercedes indicated that "[my] safety is of utmost concern to Mercedes Benz". Mb should not be allowed to sell another new vehicle in the united states until they have relied the potential dangerous of all defective airbags installed in their vehicles.

Takata airbags, priority group 6: I believe Mercedes Benz is dragging its feet in making these repairs. I have received several letters dating back to 2017. Each one provides a date when the parts will be available and the dates come and go. The last date provided was to be September 30, 2018. When I called mb today, they told me the date has been postponed until September of 2019! that is one year away. They need to step up and complete these replacement airbags for the safety of their customers.

Steering column module electrical causing the car inoperative. I turned the ignition and no sound. The dashboard did not light up. I could not get the car towed because the wheel locked. I had to request a tow that handles this type of issue.

Takata recall I own a 2010 mercedes glk 350 and was first notified by mercedes back in may of 2016 with an anticipated repair date of September 2017. That was then changed to March 2018 and then September 2018. The latest information now states September 2019 and I have no faith that it will be completed by then. I find this deplorable and can't believe that the department of transportation accepts this continuous pushback of repairs.

Takata recall - for over 2 years, I have attempted to have Mercedes Benz-honolulu replace the takata airbags as per the recall notices I receive approximately every 6 months from mercedes-benz USA. Each time, I am told that they do not have the parts. Recently, the service department attempted to take the recall notice from me and tell me the recall was expired. Upon further insistence, I was again told that the part is not in and the notices are being sent by mercedes USA as required by federal law but there are no parts. Therefore, they are unable to provide me with an eta because newer vehicles are the priority and at this time they do not know when they will receive the parts to replace the takata airbags.

Takata recall: good car into south bay mercedes for srs replacement as instructed on recall letter. Service advisor initially told me to pay for diagnostic prior to moving forward, but after I insisted that the issue was related to a recall notice, I was told the replacement of the srs module would be free of charge. After completed, advisor showed me that the warning was no longer active as the problem was fixed; as soon as I left the lot, the srs warning reappeared so I returned. Service advisor instructed me to then pay for a diagnostic as previously suggested because it was unrelated to the recall. Service advisor, roger, would not inspect vehicle any further without collecting payment. On the drive home, car was smoking; discovered oil all over the engine once I arrived at my destination (oil change performed as well). No recourse after contacting south bay mercedes-benz. ; manager not available. I need immediate assistance as this is a safety issue that is not being addressed by mb USA.
