Turn signals will not operate, dealership quoted me $1400 3 years ago, had the work performed and now the issue is happening again and I am being quoted the same amount of money. This is a safety concern if I cannot signal to others where I am turning!!!!! this could cause an accident!!!!! this is highly unsafe!!! what if my kids were in the car?! talking to customers in waiting lounge at dealership other people have had same issue!! the one time they stopped working I had a person hit me going 30 mph, could have been much much worse.

Warning sign comes up : blind spot assist inoperative . When the warning sign comes up the right and left blind spots in the mirror remain light up and also I am not able to signal to change lines . These happened already 3 times over past 3 months and lasts for hours while on the highway . I try to stop at the side of the highway , turn the car off and on still won't work for some time . I have taken videos of these happening .

I put my key into the ignition and it would not start. I had a tow truck to come and get my vehicle and they charged the vehicle and would not go into neutral or drive. I know that I probably need a new battery but this was scary.

Today, and while driving on a freeway, my car and I almost burned when I turned on the driver seat heater. I started feeling an excessive heat on the left back side. I stoped on the right of the freeway to discover that the seat leather was burned with heating wire, with smoke coming out from the seat. My shirt was damaged with the burn. Searching the web, I found many people complaining about the same issue.

The turn signals randomly stop working. Vehicle must be turned off and restarted to get signals to work again which only lasts for an unknown number of times. Major safety issue. Was almost rear ended with grandchild in car when turn signal that worked moments earlier failed and car behind me consequently almost hit me. Mercedes USA was contacted and was unwilling to remedy the problem. They diagnosed the issue as a defective steering column module that neede to be replaced. The estimate was almost $1300. The car has only 39,000 miles on it and based on research others have had this issue. Mercedes basically indicated that I was not a loyal enough customer to warrant compensation. I am forced to violate traffic laws at times because I try to not use signals when absolutely needed as I don't know when they won't work. In addition I cannot let anyone else use the vehicle for obvious reasons, safety, liability, etc. Mercedes should have done a recall and I think they should be liable if anything happens to anyone due to this problem.
Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Mercedes Benz Ml350. The contact stated the vehicle's seat warmer for the front drivers seat was on when they noticed the seat overheating on the back of the seat. The contact noticed smoke coming from the seat as well. The contact stated that the system caused a whole to burn the contact turned off the seat warming system and the smoke and burning stopped. The fire department was not needed. The contact received a slight burn to their lower back. No medical assistance was needed. The contact contacted the dealership (james motor company located at 2440 richmond rd, lexington, ky 40502 phone number: 877-883-1006) who advised the contact not to use the seat warmer and have the vehicle inspected. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened case number: id1/0h0bj0 they also asked the contact to sign a waiver to replace the part of the seat that had burned, however, the matter had not been resolved as of yet. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000. Gl.
Vehicle will not crank/start intermittently key turns in the ignition but nothing happens. Front door on the right and left will not operate and have to push down locks in order for vehicle to lock and prevent vehicle/ property theft.
The liftgate on my car quit working recently. I discovered that the liftgate motor was in a pool of water. There is a recall 09v076000 that is already issued for this problem. I am very concerned that this could cause a short circuit which could lead to a fire. For some reason my car is not on the recall list even though it is that model year and the exact problem as stated in the recall. Please advise.

When car comes to a stop, and the driver pushes the button to put the car in "park", the car does not go into park, but stays in "drive" or "reverse". Driver leaves car, and because driver is unaware that the vehicle remains in "drive", and did not switch to "park", the car can begin to idle forward while driver leaves or has left the vehicle, or idles in reverse, as driver leaves or has left the vehicle, as the "park" position is not activated. This can be quite dangerous to the driver, or to passengers or pedestrians. At times, the car does go into "park", but at other times, it does not, it stays in "drive" or "reverse", misinforming the driver. This is an unsafe situation.
While driving my turn signals, brake lights, windshield wipers, seat controls, and I'm not sure what else became inoperable. Also the srs warning displayed meaning the airbags were malfunctioning. Seems that the sam module is the culprit but nothing should be able to stop such vital safety issues from happening all at once. I have seen several articles about this happening and a recall is needed in my opinion.
Driver side front door and driver side back door do not unlock or lock. You have to manually unlock and lock.
I keep experiencing the "pre-safe limited" warning. The car break starts fading, and the check engine light remained on the working conditions. This situation is so unsafe because the car becomes heavy and the steering turns hard to maneuver.
On random occasions, while in motion at any speed, the message "blind spot assist is inoperative" and indicator lights stop working. The only way to clear it is to stop the vehicle, turn off the ignition and start the vehicle back up.
Brake light went out. Two days later the battery caused a fire inside of vehicle while vehicle was stationary. Keys were not in the ignition at the time.

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Mercedes Benz ml-350. The contact stated that the rear passenger side brake light illuminated and stayed on even when the vehicle was turned off. The vehicle was parked on the driveway of the residence, when a neighbor advised the contact that the vehicle was on fire. The fire department came and extinguished the fire, they labeled as an electrical fire. The police was also present, but no report was issued. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000. Bp.
April 12th 20018 I got in my benz and started it and all the lights on the instrument cluster light up and should go of after a few seconds but the lights did not go of so I put the car in drive and the emergency brake will not release so I had to push really hard on the brake to stop the car I turned it of and waited a few seconds and strated it again so thai can reverse it back in the park spot however when I put the sun in reverse it started going forward and all the lights are still on and the emergency brake still will not release so I keep pushing really hard on the brakes and put the sun in park and call mercedes of sarasota FL for the second time after a scare like this mercedes said that the sun was fine . Well at this point I was forced to get rid of my 4 year old SUV because I do not trust driving it no more an SUV that I fully paid for and was not expecting to had to get rid of it so soon .

On occasion the blind spot assist becomes inoperative. Frequently when this occurs, it also deactivates the turn signals creating, in my opinion, a very dangerous situation. Each time it's happened in motion on an expressway. I've contacted the local Mercedes Benz dealer who tells me the only way to correct this problem is to pull over to the side of the road, turn off the car and turn it back on to reactivate the system. Not only is this inconvenient, it doesn't always correct the problem. I can live without the blind spot assist; however, not with inoperative turn signals. This is a 6-year old car so I am not willing to invest thousands of dollars on a problem that I feel the manufacturer should rectify at no charge. I am a 72 year old and have owned many cars and never had one where the turn signals become inoperative.
When attempting to start the vehicle the car does not start and the dashboard lights do not illuminate. It usually takes multiple tries before it usually does start. Has been going on for months.
Due to a faulty right taillamp seal, water got into a control module and damaged it beyond repair. I woke up and walked outside to see my headlights flashing and upon further inspection my key fob not working, srs disabled, and many other miscellaneous electronic components disabled. Some time before this, the motor to the rear hatch stopped working, possibly for the same reason.
The car keys would not open the car doors or the trunk.
Vehicle made a right-hand turn uphill and completely shut off for 25 minutes; engine and electrical components. Required to manually hold in the brake on an incline until vehicle restarted. Dealership cannot replicate the issue and is returning the vehicle.
2010 Ml350 starts right up when cold in the morning. If I go to a store and return to the car when I insert and turn the key nothing happens no lights on dash. After struggling for 5 minutes trying everything from locking/unlocking opening doors turning key slowly it finally starts. This problem started a month ago and is becoming more frequent now. After reading numerous complains on forums I assume it is the esi (electronic system ignition) and it is an expensive fix so I called merc benz and complained and asked if there is a recall. There is no recall and customer service told me she is not a mechanic and wants me to take it to the dealer. As I am aware this repair cost customers from 1200-1800 dollars.
Two issues with my Ml350 2010 car - 1) electrical - gas gauge went to zero while driving even when car was three quarters full of gas. After I stopped car and restarted engine, gas gauge went immediately back up to three quarters full. 2) failed brakes - I was driving into a parking spot slowly using brakes and when I was about to come to a full stop, the brakes failed and wouldn't stop the car completely resulting in me driving over a parking meter. It felt like the car accelerated as well after hitting parking meter but I was able to stop car after pressing on the brakes again. Thankfully no one was hurt given slow speed and no one being on sidewalk at the time.
On August 1st 2017 bought brand new battery from mercedes-benz of easton. Installed in next couple of weeks without any issue. On sept 12th 2017 around 2. 45pm started the car(in the driveway) and went inside to get my mobile. When I came out to te car, saw big smoke inside and immediately switched off the engine. Saw flames coming underneath of passenger seat and immediately poured water. Later observed battery ignited the flames and even top of the battery started melting. Called mbusa and reported the incident, and was promised that a supervisor will call back. Waiting to hear back from mbusa. It was so scary, and I can't even imagine what if this happened on freeway.
When the car has been running for a while the directional signals stop working.
Second year of this same complain. The dealership I bought the car from mention that the mercedes should be taking care of my issues. But that isnt happening. Mercedes just wants to keep charging me . I look up the defects of the car and it tells me exactly the same problem I am having.
The switch some time not detect, and do not start. Need to turn several time to start the engine. Once it start no problem. Some time in the morning it start without any problem. The dealer told me it is a ignition problem, the car mileage is only 87000. When I searched in the internet, 1000 of customers reported the same problem for 2010 and 2011 model cars.
Takata recall , brake light harness.
The car caught fire and burnt. The smoke were first spotted from the passenger a/c vent while driving from the school to the teacher's house (less than 1 mile distance). Within minutes the fire started from the glove box or passenger ac vent area. The fire spread to the back of the car in less than 10 minutes. The firefighters were there to put out the fire before it got the chance to get to the fuel tank.
The insulation of the cables for the high and low beam is missing. The wires are without any insulation at all. I can not use the lights because I'm afraid of a short . Other wise, I can use the car as long as I don't turn the front lights on.
The contact owned a 2009 mercedes-benz Ml350. While driving, a burning rubber odor and smoke were present under the front passenger seat. The driver exited the vehicle and, within moments, flames completely engulfed the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 31,000.
Vehicle won't go into park, drive, neutral, or reverse when I push the button to tell it to. Vehicle's turn signals don't turn on when I move the handle up or down to try and turn them. It handle clicks as if it is turned on but blinkers do not turn on. Almost got hit by another car when this accrued because the blinkers didn't come on and the car didn't see that I was stopping. Very scary and dangerous since I have two small children.
