1 Service Engine Light On problem of the 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis

Failure Date: 07/01/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 70 mph, the vehicle was jerking and the abs warning light, the brake light and the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle had a drastic reduction in speed and the contact had to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road to turn the vehicle off and back on to prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and diagnosis more than twice for various repairs and the repairs did not remedy the failure. The service engine warning light continued to illuminated and the vehicle jerked violently, reduced speed and potentially may stall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 136,037. Dyd.
