Vehicle would not shift out of park. Inspected fuses and found blown 15 amp fuse. Replaced and vehicle worked properly. Parked in driveway. 30 minutes later, car is on fire. Vehicle is totaled.

Consumer lost control at 35 mph on a gravel road, vehicle hit a tree, then bursted into flames. Consumer suffered minor head injuries, vehicle was totalled. Cause of fire unknown at this time. While driving the consumer had met another driver going south in the middle and tried to miss the other vehicle and lost control. The consumer ran into the woods and hit two small trees and the vehicle then caught fire, which started under the wheel of the drivers side. The consumer went into the windshield and injured her forehead/head and neck.

While parked smoke came from under the hood. The fire department opended the hood and the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
While vehicle was parked engine compartment fire under the hood due to an electrical short. Also, replaced the side view mirror which has electrical parts. Referenced in ea02-025.
